If you were around during Trump's first term (in which they used Garrison as a stand-in), they savagely pillored Trump and the MAGA movement, so they've been anti-Trump since the start.

Felt like they got triggered by trump more and just decided to make him sad Saddam at the last minute. Felt like it didn’t try with the Epstein jokes(“are you on the list”)and it was solely directed to be against trump so bluntly. Trump has no character other than "see it funny that he sounds saddam, laugh". I miss s8-16.

This episode only works thru the context that it is satirizing Trump's lawsuits against CBS and Viacom, which it is. And with that said it totally means the episode is worthless to anyone who doesn't particularly care that the "comedic institution" that is the Stephen Colbert Late Night show has been cancelled.

You know why South Park is highly unlikely to never be cancelled? Because it makes money. Unlike Stephen Colbert.

The fact that South Park could have been censored and Paramount didn't panic just proves how there isn't censorship. Because if the legal team was worried they would have done what they did with 201 and bleeped out Trump's name and most of all censored that ending skit where you have a naked Trump with a tiny penis something I don't think they could have done on Cable television even 15 years ago. They're not censored and I have no doubt that South Park will continue being made because Trump sued 60 Minutes for altering footage of Kamala Harris to make her look better not because Colbert mocked him.

Except Parker and Stone have a history of being petty shits who turn in episodes late as fuck to force CC to air them with zero chance to get them vetted and sent back for cuts/changed Jared Has Aides was the biggest example of this and even 200 and 201 both got turned in super fucking late with 201 undergoing super extreme last minute censoring because Parker and Stone pettily held turning in the episode until the very last minute. As well as the fact that Parker and Stone themselves are the reason those two episodes are banned as CC wanted to stream the censored version of 201 but P&S used a clause in their contract blocking its release. Which factored into CC saying fuck it and banning all Mohammad related episodes.

But like I said, Parker and Stone are probably in cahoots right now with Colbert to be so brazenly anti- Trump to get fired so that Letitia James has a fig leaf to resume lawfare against Trump and also prevent the pro Trump Skydance from buying Paramount, since Parker and Stone are probably pissy thar they didn't get the multi-billion dollar 10 year deal they wanted.

Not trying to write dismissively but I think that's a conspiracy theory for us to think and if that was truly the MO of Parker and Stone then they're being really stupid. WHICH MIGHT BE TRUE but at the end of the day the result is going to be that Colbert and his cavalcade look like fucking losers because lampooning Trump is not fresh whatsoever.

If you took this episode at Face Value that the South Park boys were finally sticking it to the ORANGE MAN it's the worst episode of South Park ever. Because Family Guy did it 6 FUCKING years ago when making fun of Trump's tiny benis was still some edgy comedy in some circles. What's left is just the truth that Stephen Colbert is a fucking hack. The only funny thing from last night's episode was them joking that when asked about the "Epstein List" Trump just says "Hey relax buddy." because frankly that has been what Trump has done for the last month or so.

Maybe I'll eat crow and Paramount will take down/heavily censor this episode, as you noted they have censored after the fact. I just can't imagine a world where a Disney-owned Family Guy gets to be more edgy than South Park. If this episode stays up and Colbert completes his contract to May then they all look like fools pretending the President cares that much over what old world media does with him.

Trump getting (re)elected caused PC Principal to become blackpilled and become a born again Fundie Christian.

They set up that PC Principal pretty much is mind broken even as everyone else in town has gone hyper woke, with Parker and Stone going so far as having conservatives in South Park denouncing Trump, claiming "he went to far" in buck breaking woke and both Butters and Cartman crying over the end of woke while Kyle is literally made voiceless outside of a scowl on his face.

They also had Jesus as a meta character forced into the school cast as a side effect of the 60 Minutes lawsuit, being a meta Debbie downer telling Trey and that that they have to bend the knee to Trump because of what happened to Colbert.

No, they never made fun of Joe. The last time you can argue that they made fun of the left was in "Into The Panderverse" but even then they did a "Both sides" cop out with "People who complain about woke is just as bad". I would rather have had Kyle give a speech as to why race swapping characters is lazy and insulting than that half ass "moral".

Ignoring the trump plot, watching Cartman become suicidal and promising to take Butters with him was funny. Honestly, just give me a whole season with Cartman and Butters, they're the only characters that get a chuckle from me.
