General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

You're telling me that for 2-3 years this relatively small group of people had no idea what was happening around them?
When yes, that's what the departing talent like Silver, and just now Vei on twitter are saying. Yes.

Vei and Silver got slapped with NDAs and were threatened with lawsuits if they even tried to tell the other talents why they were leaving. While the remaining talents like Kson from what we know wasn't having issues until September of last year.

Your whole premise just doesn't make sense because there's no explanation for why, as you propose, the girls just knew they were getting robbed and instead covered it up. For what reason would they sweep for themselves getting shafted. Who knows, your whole premise hinges on this but there's no explanation or reason why anyone on earth would do that.

Meanwhile the talents who departed those years ago that you think were supposed to be the canaries in the coal mine are saying they were muzzled by lawyers unable to let the other girls know what happened to them. Unless you think they too are lying, which again would have no reason for them to do so, the whole foundation of what you pose just doesn't exist.

You're starting with your desired conclusion of "it has to be their fault and doing" and trying to work backwards to a justification but there just isn't one.

The alleged lawyer is Daniel Sanders from Chicago Illinois.
He used to own a firm called Anathem Law:

This was some sort of content creator law firm:

The firm died within 2 years after it was formed when it was involuntarily dissolved:

And Sanders' law license is indeed expired:

This guy was also the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at VShojo, in addition to being the COO. Because putting a guy whose own company collapsed within 2 years in charge of your company finances is a great idea:

I would take what this guy says with a mountain of salt, he has extremely bad blood with Mel from the past. He made her original model, then after some arguments they distanced from each other and he DMCA'd all of her streams in which she used the model he made.
to add to this not only did he do all that but he also tried to make a new melody using the same model but brown. the chick he got to be said replacement also eventually told him to fuck off. so yeah he is a bit of a problem in his own right.

It looks like he went to The Chicago-Kent College of Law at Illinois Institute of Technology.

But there is a difference between something like Phase Invaders (Clio Aite, Jelly Hoshiumi, Sleepy, MariMari_EN, etc.) Who, if they graduate, have to give up their character (assuming that is how the contract is) and Vshojo where they sign on to be part of the group (Kson, Zentreya, Ironmouse being indie prior) which, if they can actually leverage some advantages of staying, could be very profitable. But that is provided that there isnt corruption or mismanagement.
According to Clio, she still owns the Clio character.
