Unfortunately reddit responded to my requests regarding the extreme IN MASS copyright strikes stating that they seemed to be legitimate. It appears GoComics is now chasing after anyone that even mentions Calvin and Hobbes and submitting DMCA requests in masse.

To prevent anyone's account being banned, and to keep this subreddit alive and unbanned (at least in posterity) this is the end. No new posts. GoComics won. While I believe we fell under fair use (legal doctrine that permits limited use of copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder, primarily for purposes like criticism, commentary, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, or research.) I nor reddit can or will fight it.

I have absolutely loved discussing Calvin with you all, and I hope that maybe in the future we can bring it back, and we can go adventuring again.

The thing is i agree with the original author, some shithead doing that is a piece of shit and probably indian, but it's clear the entire point of her comic is to make it seem like it's white gigachad's doing it, and that her stuffed bear is going to apparently kick his ass? Goddamn, nerd spaces used to be amazing when they were 99% male and the few females were simply "one of the guys".
