The videos from like late 2020 to just before his Sam Hyde doc in early 2022. For example his Idubbbz Complains vid about the guy who “smokes alcohol” to avoid DUI charges is genuinely hilarious.
If he’d stayed the course with that tone of video I think he’d still be mostly beloved nowadays; however, he had already completed the SH doc by early 2021 and was destined to deal with the fallout from that, so who really knows. Creator Clash was obviously a mistake too that he never should’ve gotten involved with.
After everything that's happened I don't know what to think. He came onto my radar exactly around the time he put out the content cop on ricegum, which is probably my favorite video. His transition from my POV seemed so sudden and inexplicable, like a switch just flipped one day. He was making such crazy testosterone-fueled NIGGERFAGGOT content one moment, there's a hiatus when he's barely posting but nothing notable is happening, and now he's just another cucked libtard in an interminable sea of them on jewtube. I truly have never believed a person can change, or at least not THAT much, not at THAT fundamental a level. Was he really just totally fake that entire time before the onlyfans cuck arc began? Is he somehow faking right now, purely for the sake of that succubus he's chained to his ankle? Either possibility seems unthinkable to me.
I still get I WANNA BE GAY caught in my head on loop on rare occasions. I weep for the loss of such a fun youtuber, as the platform is totally beshitted with slop and increasingly intrusive sponsorships. That video about airsoftfatty wasn't too bad either comparatively speaking.
RE: Creator Clash I wouldn't classify it as a mistake
categorically. The first one was (outside of the internal rot we've since learned about) successful. It's the handling of it that was botched. Trying to turn it into a way to (essentially) launder crowdfunding into a series of influencer exclusive vacation luxuries, and then letting personal vendettas interfere with it. IN THEORY (a.k.a. if Anisa literally did not exist and idoops wasn't ostensibly a huge cocksucker), a sane person could have leveraged that event and the people involved with it to make a breddy decent beneficial franchise. And the fact that they in reality DIDN'T just speaks to why Anisa and Ian are huge fucking pathetic lolcows. The fact that they COULD HAVE done a decent job if they were sane and not sucked into their own assholes is why they end up coming across as such awful awful people. Which is a common theme among lolcows, like the idea that it would be so easy for them to redeem themselves if they had even a modicum of humility to absolve themselves of their many sins. Call me a fag, but in the broader context Ian feels tragic to me. Anisa doesn't, she's just a fucking stupid bitch. And not to imply that I think Ian is getting anything less than the punishment he deserves for acting the mickey.
I know I'm rambling a bit... in the main I disagree, but I'm saying I also get where you're coming from. It's frustrating because it's very easy to imagine a version of idubbbz that didn't go over the precipice and just made lowkey decent content that didn't blatantly parade his own failure of a life. If he just made a bunch of comfy videos about squirrels or whatever he'd probably not be so fucking broke at least. I might actually watch content from a less edgy more tame idubbbz if he DIDN'T proudly declare himself a cuck, constantly whine about his critics, and publicly humiliate himself with his trainwreck girlfriend. I get what you mean.
I remember way back there being a minor incident with dog breed sperging and one of the jannies even mass deleted posts because it got too OT. That's how fucking boring Anisa usually is, people rather talk about dogs than her outside of major Anisa dumbassery
