I bet it never even occurred to Becky that trying to turn someone's friends against them is NOT normal breakup behavior past 10th grade. To her, like OBVIOUSLY she needed to contact his best friends and IN A JUST WORLD they would have taken her "side", not his.
This kind of unfiltered BPDemon "logic" is fascinating. It never even occurs to her that this behavior in itself is abusive.

If you think she will ever be truly "done" with Daniel, you've never seen the BPDemon hold onto exes for DECADES. Abandonment, real or perceived, is their big thing and it isn't soon forgotten.
She will stalk Daniel online and in person when possible. She will continue trashing his name to anyone who will pretend to listen, and she will forever use his "abuse" to justify her own poor behavior. Unemployed? She certainly didn't claim to be retired at 36 due to self-diagnosed PCOS, no, Daniel TRASHED her industry reputation. Lazy layabout who contributes nothing? She has c-ptsd from Daniels abuse, thank you, and she's been stuck in "freeze" for 10 years.
It'll go on like that forever, all while she attempts through any means necessary (absolutely including manipulating Hah-nuh) to get him to engage with her beyond grey-rocking.
He may think he's through the worst of it when she and the other losers are in their townhouse, but he has no idea.

I was thinking how funny it is that she presents Daniel's job as being so much less important than Jack's when he is literally a corporate lawyer. She loves being like "hubby is in court today and can't possibly help!" When if the jobs were reversed, she'd crow about how it's just a capitalist lawyer job, making the rich richer, etc.
Hannah is the only person involved in this I genuinely feel bad for. She's a little baby who never asked to have a lunatic mother.
That poor little girl. I truly do feel for her a lot, and hope that her life isn't nearly as miserable as I imagine it. Becky may think none of this matters because Hah-nuh won't remember but she's learning her attachment style right now, and none of this is good for her.
My only hope is that if they ARE splitting custody, with Daniel having her to himself sometimes, that those visits to Dad and Step-Mom's will be calming and connecting. I don't have hugely high hopes for Daniel's new wife based on everything we know, but I DO think she must be at least slightly less horrible than Becky - otherwise, why bother monkey-branching at all?
