Jill is clearly "encouraging" Phillip to fast his mental illness away, because he's dropped 30+ pounds in the six months or so he's been back at the Barndominium. Jill will starve that rebellion right out of her grown son.

I really hope they're "allowing" Phillip access to his prescribed medication, which may account for his drowsy movements. But given his extreme weight loss, I doubt it. It's more likely that Phil is being sleep deprived as well as food deprived, because Jill doesn't sleep and doesn't see why anyone else ought to, either.

If he is on Anti-psychotics, Jill's meager portions would leave that boy insanely starving all of the time!!

I lived with a housemate who’s parents are diet fundie, same deal - teen/adult children at home, 2-4 communal cars that periodically resulted in various crashes, speeding tickets etc. They basically act as though writing off a car every other year is normal.

I’m not sure that’s seroquel. It’s giving schizophrenia and restricted affect. If he’s only on state insurance/medicaid, pretty sure it’ll be generic haldol or maybe invega long acting injection.

King James Version church - it means that they only accept the King James Version of the Bible as an accurate English translation, and some go so far as to think it was Divinely Inspired itself (during the translation process). Usually these are the more fundie groups (as seen here) and also, uh, the more stupider folks, in my experience. I mean, anyone who thinks the KJV is the most accurate translation is someone who has done zero research into actual Biblical history and text study, so it's unsurprising. These are simple folks who like the thees and thous that are pretty much just a stylistic choice.
