Payment Processor Censorship (Visa / Mastercard / Stripe / PayPal etc) - Discuss Payment Processor/Gateways/Banks censoring people in this thread.

As you may be aware payment cucking from Credit Companies is not exclusive to Americans, this can easily happen to anyone from around the globe. Such is the case with Japan selling adult content.

Surugaya / Suruga-ya is a website for buying secondhand anime and video games, and had its adult products page closed due to difficulties with payment processors.

A Japanese gamedev/youtuber named "Overworked Salaryman" discusses DLsite (an ecommerce storefront website for selling games, doujins, mangas, etc. from all-ages to adults only) getting their credit card support cut by the Credit Companies.

Obviously it's not just Japan getting FELTED by PPs/CCs for muh heckken' lolicoon hentairinos.
-Nigel Farage is a political figure in the UK who had his bank accounts closed by Coutts & Co.
-An Australian Bank attempted to close the accounts of a Muslim/Gaza charity (Human Appeal) without providing a reason.
-"Alternative for Germany", one of the largest parties in Germany that's Far-Right, had been debanked from Berliner Volksbank following a campaign by activist group "Grandmothers Against the Right".

There's definitely more news about debanking and de-financing from foreign countries, but I just haven't looked into them yet or searching in their native languages for articles. So just keep that in mind if you're someone who's ESL and would like to share any prominent news of monetary censorship in your country.
I will be sure to post any new victims of PPs/CCs getting their skull stomped by them here.

I've been listening to old MATI and I know @Null has been debanked by everyone, and obviously this shouldn't be Null centric but maybe a list of all of them for reference. I know there was one in early 2021 for a merch run. And the most recent merch run, and dozens of others etc.

I'm not noteworthy enough to be documented in the thread, nor would I want to be, but I've had this payment processor censorship shit happen to me. Keep up the work, keep making noise, as long as it remains a talking point in the headlines there's hope for change. These fuckers need to be regulated as a utility and forced into neutrality at gunpoint. And trust-busted up into a dozen new companies for good measure. I got no love for the pornographers that are getting the worst of it but this isn't the mechanism to target them. Fuck this horseshit.

I don't know if I can contribute much here. Yet there is a running theme which started with alt-tech and "hateful groups" (as you showed well), before it was ever about pornography and the "right to coom". So this is definitely greater than merely "speech". I wouldn't be surprised if there is a push to get people to fight against each other to see who is "most oppressed" or something - who knows?

Otherwise, good job so far with the thread!

Don't you just love "private" corporations deciding what you are and aren't allowed to purchase, essentially making themselves a second government that has no accountability and no obligation to follow their own rules? We really do live in a cyberpunk dystopia without any of the cool shit. I want my robot arms and a dragon president god dammit.

Payment processors are the new tool to enforce the Judeo-Christian way of living and thinking amongst the gentiles.

They are now sending a message that the Goyim and their Idol gods have no place in this world, and you will praise your prison.

This is not about protecting children (oops typo), this is about religious enforcement without naming the religion. A supreme arbiter of morality, thought and rationality on this caliber can, will and already has only brought nothing but disaster.

You already did your waste of energy barely relevant to the topic at hand spiel in the other thread and anyone can click your posts and see an android raptor-esque broken script repeat of "church bad because christ cucks also white power which we no longer have just give up fellow autistic dome patrons" pattern. :story:

The only religion these fuckers truly follow is money and they can be denied the latter because everyone including the already grubby banks hates dealing with them.

Edit because not enough for a reply: The source is that payment processors and banks are separate entities and banks don't really get much out of their relationship with the processors, it's a very amazon and USPS style situation where due to how the chips fell from the rise of credit cards and people deciding that was the way to do commerce online and now they're sort of stuck with them like a Siamese twin.

Even if banks would later do or just continue the same horse shit due to debanking itself being a thing, there's still little doubt they'd love a moment of weakness to pounce on to decouple from a series of business partners that are more of a set of fee takers than givers and have more in house processing to lower overhead across the board.
And it's always a safe bet to bet on banks being self serving and greedy.

And almost everyone who's worked at a bank or shared a story about them up to and including higher end staff find dealing with the processors a bullshit rigamarole since they catch all of the flak instead of the processors whenever a jeet coded point of service system goes down or the bullshit merchant portals and middlemen drop the ball and someones orders are lost or cancelled. Stores and vendors hate dealing with their shit too.

Banks? Do you have a source? I never heard of something that controls the government now turning against the government and their payment processor puppets.

Much needed topic.. Works a lot better than bumping a few A&N threads about the topic over the events/months.
Wouldn't this be more appropriate in the Articles & News board than lolcow general however?

This week is really tiring though to be honest. I think me and most of the Western folk are just now tired that the UK, EU and possibly the US are going to successfully transform themselves into the CCP and there is almost no hope in sight of winning. It's utterly bizarre seeing we get thrown into another reality within a week and people are aware that they are dragged in unlike with Covid or ICANN.

Arguably the only good thing is USKOSA is just found and not even on the way to being discussed yet while they can easily pass it beneath our notice last month.

I do want to point out real quick, former Chase senior executive of JPMorgan Chase (the largest bank in America) Cleo McDougald said the bank uses a practice called "red dotting" where a "red flag is placed on internal records … (alerting) different divisions in the bank not to do any business with (certain clients)."
Don't think for a second other banks aren't also doing something similar if they catch wind of you rocking the boat too much.

Anyways, here's some more articles to look after that'll probably be added to the OP:
-Bank of America to Stop Financing Makers of Guns (2018.)
-ACLU targeting Mastercard back in 2023 for endangering sex workers and being heckkin' troon/fagphobic (lol)
-CivitAI had its funding cut off from Card Companies due to porn being hosted. (Kiwi Post)
-PayPal has admitted that a prominent children’s rights campaigner (Molly Kingsley) was “debanked” during the pandemic after speaking out against school closures and mandatory vaccines.
Bonus tweet from her this year:

-Canadian Trucker protestors had their accounts frozen back in 2022, although supposedly they were unfrozen once all the roads were cleared.
-One Redditor vents his frustrations with Square closing his business account with no explanation given why.
(Choice response from support below):
“After a comprehensive review of your account, we have determined that we are still unable to process payments for your business. Our decision to deactivate your account is final. We understand that it can be frustrating to have your account deactivated. However, due to security concerns and the obligations of our agreements with card networks and other financial institutions, we cannot provide additional details. For more information about our policies on this matter, please review sections 12 and 13 of our General Terms of Service.”
-the creator behind Gemini (crypto) claims JPMorgan suspended his company's banking onboarding process in retaliation for publicly criticizing the bank's new data access fees.

I had another table setup while doing some searching with AI, most of these are/will probably be included in the OP, but will post here for posterity.

I thought you were joking. :story: Come on, man. There are no people wanting to force "good values" on us. This is tyranny veiled on good intentions.

Alas, you are right too - this "think of the children" laws are projects that tyrants want to abuse. They hate children.
Hey, do you guys remember when health insurance companies came up with the brilliant idea of cutting off a customer's anesthesia if their insurance stopped?

Do you think payment processors remember?
Don't forget the electronic appliances in case they "thought" you heard you say a racial slur and would shut down.
Good list, there is definitely a precendent over the pandemic here.

There are no people wanting to force "good values" on us. This is tyranny veiled on good intentions.
That's what I meant, no? Their "good values" are not "good values" but disguised instruments of death.

Melania Trump / Michael Flynn
Given his wife is debanked too, It would be legitimately horrifying if Trump actually passed KOSA.

The biggest irony that I see in all this is that the big corporations are ironically the ones destroying free market capitalism as we know it.

It's a case of "capitalism for me, not for thee"
I think we are far past that point. It's already corporatism.(the new kind, where governments are in bed with corporations)
You don't have free market, at the point where not only you can't compete with them, but you can't even open your own company in certain sectors.
Try to open a bank, a pharmaceutic company, a factory that produces military equipment or simple weaponry. See how far will you get.

Don't you just love "private" corporations deciding what you are and aren't allowed to purchase, essentially making themselves a second government that has no accountability and no obligation to follow their own rules? I would actually like to hear libertarians explain away this one.

Take your meds, payment processors are not lolcows.

This is a video of Terry. It's also a video of me, driving my niggercattle, which is you. You are a docile fucking niggercattle and I'm driving you to the Union Stock Yards up in the Windy City where we're gonna grind you up and eat ya.
