And once they win, they will never lose again. The problem with this, other than the corruption other users have already pointed out, is that the last time the government couldn't (or wouldn't) bail out failing banks, we ended up with an economic collapse that took a crippled socialist and a world war to pull us out of. It's way more plausible that we leverage government involvement in the economy as a bulwark against censorship, that being from a First Amendment standpoint.

Stated as succinctly as possible: "you take government money, so that subjects your censorship activities to First Amendment scrutiny. Checkmate, liberal "

The only reason concealed carry was even allowed to be legalized is because the elites didn't have sufficient power to censor speech they don't like, thus pro-2A sentiment was allowed to slip through the cracks. Soon, they absolutely will have the power to censor us all. Any and all thoughts that aren't approved by TPTB will be eliminated for good, and we will be powerless to stop it or fight back against it.

Visa and Mastercard compromised and monopolized the economy so much that them running out of business suddenly will result in a collapse. And if you do not deal with the European Union and United Nations as well, they'll still find ways to screw you over.

To root off this issue you have to make sure they don't get to operate internationally and take out the puppetmasters as well. Most people in the EU or UK fear the collapse of the global beat system because they are that enslaved, so taking out the puppetmasters seem like an insane idea.

To be 100% fair.. The government does have a little blame. By basically deputizing the financial system to act as money police and then subjecting then to standards the real police don't face. (legal CRIMINAL consequence for "failing") But this kind of shit goes well beyond those fears.. yet in some way is justified and excused by those mentalities. The real issue at play here though is "reputation" the CCs have came right out and said it. There are no legal threats, this is morality police and elite social pressure. (ideological capture, other governments/nations, NGOs etc)

Clawing back the money police shit and leaving it up to the gov to enforce like it should be is important. The whole system as it is, is what dems were trying to turn social media into.. A de facto arm of unofficial enforcement of standards, rules and choices that the government couldn't mandate itself legally. Yes, as uncomfortable and 'wrong' as it sounds for modern cons, after a century of libertardian FUD and conditioning... Government being forced to take direct control actually ties their hands a lot tighter legally and makes things at least somewhat better. No 3rd party means direct action.. meaning they have to conform to legal standards and rights a lot more. At the very least requiring major precedence changing/setting rulings in order to either ignore and or change government limitations and mandates. There is no down side since they already get whatever they want. The worst case is they are forced to go mask off and over reach officially.

If we're going to bail these companies out they should have to earn it. We don't really need any specific payment processor. So if a company needs bailed out thanks to malfeasance, people should to to prison.

This won't happen because of regulatory capture, i.e. there's basically a revolving door between working in this industry and being hired to "regulate" it.
