Perhaps. We can be certain that SOMETHING happened in childhood. My own theory is that he was relentlessly bullied at school for being a lispy faggot and had two parents that weren't very good at the role. I imagine Tommy probably worked a lot and, upon finally arriving home, planted his ass in an old recliner to drink beer and watch TV. Pat likely didn't have a good male role model and was a true Mama's Boy. This could explain his very feminine Cluster B personality traits.

Centering one's entire life around "Don't Let The Idiots Win" ( as scrawled on the refrigerator ) speaks loudly about just how small his world was.
