oh yeah for sure there's nothing wrong with it at all, arguably I think an associates is a good stepping stone into whatever field you're looking to get into and get the basis for the education afterwards. I personally just suck at school and hated every second of it, even though I was fast tracked during my studies I ultimately decided against going for a bachelor's. I had a 30% attendance rate, with the highest grades/results of the class due to it being my autistic focus and the only thing I'm remotely ok at (programming).

For Mald (and by extension the jeetahar), they claim all these skills and titles etc because they have surface level knowledge and people who will listen to them due to the authority they claim instead of having a real skillset or knowledge of it all. It would be more accurate for me to claim "engineer adjacent" than these faggots claiming game dev/engineer due to their influence online

Once I finish mine (I think next Spring at the earliest), I'm gonna slam out the CCNA (and Juniper's) because the first 3 courses were apart of the degree, and I like networks the most, and my current job is in a telecom company, plus I did basic networking for CCTV as my first job, so might as well stick to what I've learned the most so far.

Yeah i had the same feeling but mostly into the cyber security side of things because my knowledge at the time was very baseline but I could tell something was 'off'. I then went researching and asking actual cybersec friends with actual degrees and jobs in the field about the industry. Someone used the example before of how he deliberately conflates "I am a game dev" and "I worked at Blizzard for 7 years" so that there's an implicit relationship, but his game dev experience is completely unrelated to his Blizzard experience. If you called him out, he can then fall back on blaming you for making that connection and pretend he didn't do that.

In one of the lesser videos of someone talking about Mald, Tee Z points out that Mald allows a "mythology" to form by knowingly letting people spread lies that make him look good and pruning the people who correct him or say something that may make him look bad. Mald curates his image in that way, letting other people lie on his behalf. Once someone realizes this it reshapes everything he's ever said.

The video isn't substantial other than another example of someone technical who also picked up on Mald lying to sound cool.

An associates degree is right below a bachelor's degree and is the degree earned when completing a minor. Usually takes around 1.5-2 years to obtain one and most of the time covers foundational courses related to the subject (I have an associate's in History and pretty much that's how I can explain it without being too technical). Jason doesn't even have any type of degree AFAIK since he dropped out before completing his major. I doubt he chose a minor along with entomology.
