Stop Killing Games (EU edition) - Moldman vs. Publishers

It's been ages since I saw a Penny Arcade comic, but I feel like the art has actually regressed. Is it just me?
Definitely not just you. I stopped following the comic when the art style started in this direction, because the proportions are just offensive. It feels like ages since they had a joke worth anybody's time.

No, that's been happening for ages. The front lock of hair on Gabe is a good wind fane on their art. It went from being stiff, to being a cartoonly drooping spike, to swelling up to silly proportions. I think they outsourced the comic ages ago, though. Their only readers are people that read it out of habit. And they can skim some ad revenue. PAX is their big thing.

Presentation from SKG about end of life plans from two people with years of experience in development.
moldman could have just went into private server emulator forums and asked around and he would get more useful info than these two in less than one hour.

seriously, one is a fullstack dev and the other made some fucking dinosaur game... compared to the people that reverse client packages and build their own emulator with SQL/mongo jobs prebuilt for your convenient usage, while sure some of them are moved by ego bullshit they can still give moldman a massive insight on how online games can be preserved and how much of that can be cutoff or clientsided in which AAA devs keep saying "it's not feasible" but i guess legality shit might come to talk.

all in all any help to stop killing games is welcome but he kind of missed with the spokespersons for clarity, a disingenuous faggot, which is the people on the side that is killing games that is can say this FAQ is too costly resource wise and the technicalities can reach IP law faggotry because these two were too technical, always remember that the people that want to keep killing games are massive disingenous faggots and the more you can dumb down shit for the average joe/politican to figure out how it can be done, the better damage you can cause against these little shits.

The video isn't for the lay person, but for developers concerned about potential costs and ways of implementing EoL plans, which Ross states at the beginning.

you have to be very optimistic to think that the continue killing games people won't use that as a evidence for their poor multibillion side increasing costs.

They'll say that regardless as they have said it countless times. They don't need evidence because they'll just lie, which they already have.

You can email him, you know. He's one of the few content creators that actually reads his inbox and responds to people, too. Make sure to let him know this is about SKG in the subject header and you have a very good chance he will read your message.

I have to stop browsing that shit

Also I know that most posts are probably just nu-4chan contrarianism, but Poe's law is too powerful
4/v/ is just edgy reddit with just as many trannies, so it's likely that it really is mostly anti-SKG. Not like /v/ is relevant anymore anyways, so who cares.

There is also a long history of astroturfing on 4chan. All VGE has to do is pay a bunch of Indians with ten gift cards and they will post for them on 4chan 24/7.

I find the fairness act to be a bit broad for my taste in what it's claiming, but I think this was a good point by Ross. This is the trajectory of gaming. This is what they wanted and thought they could get away with over a decade ago, and if something doesn't give it'll slowly go back to that point.
I swear I recall a scenario where Xbox was going to have some kind of game sharing feature for digital titles, and people were too retarded to understand it and thought Xbox was trying to prevent them from trading games at all. That was when Playstation did that shit where they just handed a physical disk to each other and ooked and gooked about how easy it was. Was I huffing paint?
