WNBA Game Gets Wild as Sex Toy Flies Onto the Court Mid-Play

Tuesday night’s WNBA showdown between the Atlanta Dream and the Golden State Valkyries had fans locked in—until things took a bizarre turn late in the fourth quarter.

With just about a minute left on the clock, the game was interrupted when an unexpected object flew from the stands and landed right on the court at Gateway Center Arena in College Park, Georgia.

At first, folks weren’t sure what they were seeing… but once the object hit the hardwood and bounced a few times, it became very clear: someone had tossed a lime green sex toy onto the court.

Yep, you read that right. Not a t-shirt, not a souvenir, but a full-on adult toy.

The broadcast camera quickly cut away, but not before fans watching at home caught a glimpse of the wild moment. One of the Dream’s commentators kept it all the way real, saying, “Inappropriate. Get them out of here, whoever it is.”

What’s even crazier? The refs didn’t stop the game right away. Play continued for a few seconds until the Valkyries turned the ball over. That’s when a police officer finally stepped in, picked up the object, and escorted it off the court. Talk about an unplanned time-out.

Despite the chaos, the Golden State Valkyries managed to hold off the Dream and snag the W with a close 77-75 victory. Cecilia Zandalasini came off the bench strong, leading the Valkyries with 18 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 assists. Veteran guard Tiffany Hayes added 15 points to help seal the deal.

After the game, players reflected on the incident, still in disbelief. “Once we found out what it was, I guess we just started laughing. I’ve never seen anything like that,” Zandalasini said.

It was a moment that definitely had folks talking—but it also raised safety concerns. With athletes sprinting, cutting, and diving, anything flying onto the court—even something ridiculous—could lead to serious injury.

While no one was hurt, the moment served as a reminder that fan behavior matters. Throwing anything onto the court is reckless and dangerous, no matter how “funny” it might seem.

The league hasn’t released a formal statement yet, but one thing’s for sure: security at WNBA games might get a little tighter after this.

I hate this over dramatization of everything. It's the same faggot shit with male NBA as well. "We put our lives on the line out there." No you don't faggots. Shut up and dribble.

A better shtick than throwing a battery or water bottle or whatever but I know now theyre gonna start patting you down even when you go anywhere in case you have assault dildos or some shit like that. This one is at least kind of funny as far as modern stupid 'its a prank bro' stunts go. I remember SA flying dildos into the twin towers in second life at some corporate bullshit 'The metaverse is the NEW VERSE' meeting, so maybe Im biased. How did they even bring it in, because they already pat and airport scan you even going to like free shows in the park.
It's a creative liberty in writing. Call it personification if you want.
The officer made sure the dildo was unharmed and not traumatized after being thrown from the stands and almost stepped on, it is recovering with friends and family and a warm mug of tea.

The local frats should buy $5 tickets and make it absolutely rain rubber dicks on these self-important dykes. Take a break from playing basketball like an uncoordinated 7th grader and go iron a shirt or something, gangly bitches.

I don't know hardly anything about basketball, why is that one woman wearing that thing on her face?
To warn others she's the kind of sped that bites.

Very amateurish display, fitting for the WNBA. What you need is the kind with a suction cup on the bottom, preferably with balls to help ensure it lands on the suction cup. A small dab of Krazy Glue in the suction cup and it will chemically weld itself to the floor as soon as it lands. I mean sure a random dildo is funny, but increasingly angry people trying to rip a dildo off that won't let go is hilarious.

"Hey Mr Wembley, it happened again!"

For the second time, a green dildo has been thrown onto the court during a WNBA game.

A sex toy was tossed onto the court during a WNBA game for the second time this week.

Video showed the sex toy out of bounds under a basket after a whistle was blown to stop play during the third quarter of the Golden State Valkyries’ 73-66 victory over the Chicago Sky. An official then kicked it aside before it was picked up and removed.

“It’s super disrespectful,” Sky center Elizabeth Williams said in the postgame press conference. “I don’t really get the point of it. It’s really immature. Whoever is doing it needs to grow up.”

A similar incident occurred Tuesday during the Valkyries’ 77-75 victory over the Atlanta Dream in College Park, Georgia.

“I mean, first of all, it was super dangerous,” Valkyries forward Cecilia Zandalasini said after Tuesday’s game. “And then when we found out what it was, I guess we just started laughing. I’ve never seen anything like that. I’m just glad we worked through that situation. We stayed locked in, we stayed concentrated.”

New York Liberty forward Isabelle Harrison commented on social media about the situation Friday. “ARENA SECURITY?! Hello??!” Harrison said on X. “Please do better. It’s not funny. Never was funny. Throwing ANYTHING on the court is so dangerous.”

Among the other players to address the safety risk was Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham, who said: “stop throwing dildos on the court… you’re going to hurt one of us.”
