There's a lot going on in general now. The new Naked Gun movie is apparently really good and nasty, stuff that would get canceled hard just a few years ago but is getting rave reviews. Even woke cucks like Chris Stuckmann were like 'yeah, things just haven't been able to be really funny or good for a long time'. I'm noticing the leftover losers woke freaks like Marzgurl getting more and more depressed too. Things are somewhat healing on the entertainment front.
The main threat now are weirdo reactionairies like collective shout that'll ttry their best with the payment processors to stomp any recovery out.
My concern for movies trying to move away from woke shit is that they try to be self aware of it in ways that are equally as unrealistic. Like celebs who were totally on board saying unhinged shit before being in movies where instead of being performatively woke, they're now performatively anti-woke, if that makes sense?
For example lets just say during the woke era there's a scene with a happy normal looking dad+mom making breakfast for their kids, and their teenage daughter comes downstairs, dressed in all black, with blue hair, and rainbow pins that say something like protect trans kids or some shit.
They ask her what she's doing today, and she says she's going to a protest for civil rights,
and they respond with something like "oh wow we're so proud of you for going out there and exercising your right to protest, have fun!"
Just unhinged shit that is basically never happening outside of maybe some absolute commie shithole like LA or NYC, but they try to pass it off like this is just normal for your average family is any-town USA.
What I worry about is the flip side to this where it's basically the same exact scenario but instead the dad just loses his mind and Ben Shaprio style owns his kid with facts and logic, and it becomes an equally unrealistic portrayal of dealing with retarded teenagers.
Ideally the actually good or funny version of this would be something like the same scenario minus the troon pins shit, cause lets be real, rational people aren't letting any version of that shit into their house. But same almost the same scenario, teen girl comes down, parents ask her what she's doing today, and she says something like "I wanted to leave school early to go to a civil rights protest", the dad then responds with something like "I don't care about whatever random shit you believe in this week, but don't you even think about skipping school for some, what the hell did you call it? 'civil rights protest', and if I find out you even tried skipping school your ass is grounded for the rest of the year". The daughter bitches for a second, the dad says "End of discussion, now eat your food and get to the car" and as the daughter leaves he just says to the wife, "The fuck does she want to go to some protest for? We live in Michigan".
