Lattice isn't in Gaza

Thiel's tech is deployed in Gaza and Palantir works closely with Israel. While you're right, Lattice, created by a Palantir cutout company, itself has not be confirmed (yet), Orwellian nightmare tools like the ironically and mockingly named "The Gospel" is being used.

Edit: I also want to expand on that "yet." It's suspected Anduril, the govt cutout company that makes Lattice, sells tech to Israel as one of the 10 US allies customers they boast of. It's not a leap to assume Lattice is being used in Gaza at some level as well, if only in undisclosed testing.

Anyone else like (old) Borat because he’s funny, while simultaneously thinking he’s a real piece of shit.

It only works because he’s taking advantage of people’s, especially Americans, natural politeness and kindness to a stranger from a weird country.

“Yeah, the little weird foreigner is saying something fucked up about women and goats and Jews. Why ruin his good time by getting angry at the Sperg. Not sure what he means, but hey! He speaks better English than I speak Kazakh!”

And then you edit it together, so coastal elitist fucks can go: “Oh wow! Did you see those dumb rednecks clapping along! Always knew everyone in flyover country is a hateful POS!”

It’s funny, but it’s a mean, exploitative, very Jewish kinda funny.

New Borat is even worse because it’s not funny and everyone is used to it, so it’s basically scripted.
I stopped thinking Borat or Cohen was funny the moment he tried to intentionally frame Rudy Giuliani as a pedophile by having some obviously of-age woman play Borats "15 year old daughter" and edit the footage to frame Giuliani lying down to take the microphone off after the interview as him taking off his pants to apparently fuck this random "underage" reporter girl surrounded by cameras that he just met.

Intentionally setting up and deceptively editing footage of a random dude because he works with BLUMPF to frame him as a sleezy child toucher under the guise of a comedy act just feels scummy to me. Like it's not even funny in a dark humor way, that's just genuinely fucked up and dishonest.

It sucks that modern cars are plastic now and wear out so quickly
Modern cars last for 10-20 years and 100K-200K miles. The classics of the land yacht era were typically done at 5-6 years or 50K-60K miles. They often didn't even bother making the odometers run to 100K miles because there was no chance they'd last that long. The idea that they were built better back then is a total fantasy. Easy to work on, yes, but the underbody was rusted out and you were looking at the road through the floor panels when a modern car would still be considered "almost new."

Using the oil crisis era as your benchmark is a little bit disingenuous if you ask me. But yes, that whole fiasco does prove that cars weren’t universally good in ye olden days

He's not wrong even speaking with 50-60s era cars. Most V8s didn't even use hydraulic lifters so you actually had to manually adjust them every 10k miles or so. Nobody kept cars longer than a year or two back then (one of the reasons why car styling changed every year for most American vehicles), you would basically have to rebuild several parts of the car after 70k miles.

Engines were incredibly durable otherwise, but car chassis and suspension components would rust and deteriorate like crazy, they were much much simpler to rebuild though until the advent of electronics to govern components.

I suppose that explains why there are so few of them around!

Ads in recent years weirded me out because the boil was soft enough to make me think maybe I'm just being racist. But in a natural state this country is still majority white, and non-whites were once not precious enough to think 'that person has to look like me' to be appealed to. It's the same thing in any other country that the dominant culture/race would star in their own commercials, right? With a generous sprinkle of famous stars that have global appeal.
But in virtually every American ad the couples were either black or one partner had to be brown/black with an inoffensively light mixed kid, very disproportionately represented. It became an inside joke whenever it was for something that blacks stereotypically don't engage with like camping and Backstreet Boys. It's very creepy that some groups are responding so badly to silly and perfectly normal ads just because the characters are conventionally attractive whites.
Much like the indie gaming industry finding their feet, the marketing cowards are putting out feelers and realizing they don't have to be scared.

Similar situation in the UK only dialed up to 11. It's all social programming and normalizing degenerate behavior.

I guess the NSDAP had nothing to do with Vichy France, the Belgian Committee of Secretaries-General, the NSDAP-aligned Danish government, Luxembourgian, Norwegian and (for a while) Finnish governments adopting NSDAP policies and practices, let alone the spread of NSDAP politics in India, the Balkans, even the good ol’ US of A…
Everyone sets up puppet states in conquered territories. This wasn't some grand vision of Hitler for everyone to have their own version of Nazism specialized just for their race; it was what every empire does, sets up governments subservient to the conquerors. He wasn't invading those countries as a magnanimous gesture to protect them from Communism. They were simply tactical considerations to secure Germany's western flank ahead of the invasion of the Soviet Union, which the Nazis had been sketching out since at least 1936. The General Staff, of course, had been itching for a rematch with France since Versailles.

He clearly had no interest in building a unified Europe under the NSDAP model with the goal of a ‘thousand year Reich’, no sir, such a thing would take a back seat to killing those pesky Jews.

Hitler's vision for a "unified Europe" was one where all the untermenschen east of Berlin were either killed, displaced, or enslaved, the land repopulated with Germans, and every non-German who wasn't slated for extinction to live in subservience to the Master Race. And, yes, all the Jews had to be cleaned out of Europe, to the point where, yes, tactical effectiveness took a back seat to ethnic cleansing, particularly in North Africa and the Eastern Front.

He was so insistent on killing Jews that he made several peace appeals to the British to avoid going to war against them.

Hitler offered Britain surrender terms, and this was after he'd torn up every peace deal he'd made. Chamberlain was in no mood to capitulate after Hitler had wiped his ass with the Munich Agreement.

Swear to God, nobody knows less about the Third Reich or WWII than neo-Nazis.

1970's era Subaru's were getting 200k+. Ford's and Chevy's would only get around 80k - 100k, mostly due to the use of mechanical oil pumps. When they changed over to electrical oil pumps during the 1980's, many of the same engines would get 120k - 140k.

They’d have to admit that their “based far-right” leader was actually just a crazy socialist and his killing of communists was no different that the Bolsheviks killing the Mensheviks for slightly disagreeing with them on how to implement socialism.

The only mistake the US made during WWII was not listening to General Patton and nuking Moscow. That was compounded with another mistake the US made after the Berlin Wall fell when we allowed East Germany’s leadership to take control of West Germany and later all of Europe through the EU.

Yes and no. Modern cars are superior but they're intentionally designed to start failing at 100k miles. I just had to get rid of a vehicle with 115k miles not because of any engine or transmission problems (everyone who looked said they were amazed how good those looked), instead it was some $3 mystery sensor or combination of $3 mystery sensors that they could never track down and I had already spent close to a down-payment on something new before giving up (which is the reason they're designed this way now btw). After being stranded for the third time and $3k in work one mechanic even told me that one of the new sensors they had put in a couple weeks earlier had already failed and that 1 in 4 brand new sensors like this are just bad out of the box. He explained this as if it's just the new normal everybody understands and accepts.

This is unsustainable.

EDIT: Oh, and the new hotness of installing 14" screens in the dash and having everything in the car depend on it (thanks Elon) such that the car is bricked if the tablet is. Having your vehicle disabled because the "entertainment system" is broke should never have even been a consideration.

Mind saying what car? We're very hesitant to buy anything newer because of this. It's like between planned obsolescence, everything being a scam, and no one giving a shit about anything anymore, literally nothing works and no one can figure it out.

As an aside, my wife and I came up very DIY. I'm not saying this is the case for you, but it's amazing in the past 5 years how many major issues I've fixed that TEAMS of fucking professionals with 20+ years of experience each couldn't figure out. This applies to blue collar and white collar problems. I just crash course on whatever the topic is if I don't know it and fuck with it until I figure it out. I've saved serious money.
