Considering how Eagle can't hit fuckall inside of a city, and orbitals take 3-5 business days to align over a target, this has been our way of completing objectives for a while now. The enthusiastic mirth emote just makes it so much better.

Run hellpod stratagems to avoid both. Minefields and sentries make quick work of both factions. If you haven't tried gas mines on bots yet, they are just as effective to throw on every drop as they are for bugs.

Gas mines are great for blunting a bot drop. It causes them to attack each other and take more damage.

Idk if it's just a matter of luck or what but fuck me I have had trouble finding competent teams on all fronts lately. It started becoming noticeable with the squids, like I know they increased the difficulty somewhat but it has also been a nightmare getting a team that doesn't just do stupid shit like stand in one place and get mowed down by stingrays 15 consecutive times. Then I tried going to the bot front, thinking "hey botdivers tend to have it together" and have been getting a lot of matches where people would just fuck around too much or run right into mines. Bug front has been the worst and I get mowed down by friendly fire all the time or end up with retards who will burn through 15 reinforcements just attacking subobjectives and then we get fucked by the time it's time for the main obj.

This used to be a very sporadic thing for me but recently is actually the first time I've failed a non-solo mission since last year just because I was with retards who burned through every reinforcement we had. Has there been a recent influx of noobs or something? Kids about to go back to school? It feels like it really became noticeable with the new matchmaking/lobby finding system.

Can't say I noticed this, but I'm mostly paired with the Asian side of the globe, and Chinese divers are for better or worse, usually not paste-eating retards if their connection aren't shitting themselves. The free 380 doesn't help though.

Personally it's been a mixed bag in terms of matchmaking with stupids. Though its been a good long while since I've flat out failed a mission which is a good barometer for teammates with pants-shitting retardation. Unrelated but I cannot stand the SEAF/Civs feeding into AOE statagems not only costing me credits I need for gun upgrades but also marking me traitor, especially on those damn defend missions where SEAF continuously spawns in triggering mines.

The Chinese players I've been matched with have actually been pretty good, they don't communicate for shit but I've been in several games where they came in very clutch.

Botdiving used to feel like a reprieve because it felt like botdivers were a lot more objective and team oriented but I swear ever since they added the convoy secondary to the bot maps it's a crapshoot whether I get a team that does the mission first or wastes half the reinforcements on a convoy that with proper preparation can be taken down in like a minute. When I get in with botdivers who know what they are doing though it feels buttery smooth and organized, moreso than any other faction experience I've had.

I'll never understand people who try to stop a convoy without an AT emplacement, or insist on trying to solo it. Like yeah you can do both those things if you're good enough but even then it's such a pain in the dick.

Get two divers with AT emplacements and you can knock out the convoy in the first minute of the mission. It’s so easy. It’s always frustrating when half your reinforcements get wasted for nothing.

Target the top cannons first, then take out the chin turrets as they get closer and just shoot the sides as many times as you can. Even if you can’t take them all down the convoy now has no weapons and can be killed with a single 120 orbital barrage.

I've taken out 4 of the 5 striders in a convoy by taking a flamer pistol to their belly from the rear while using the warp pack to get out of the way of their falling mass just to confirm that it works but it wasn't as fun as shooting the bastards with an AT emplacement. It was a very desperate encounter.
