It's usually not the same effect with a local injection in a joint and to take steroids orally. Local injections don't tend to have effects on the mood except for "this joint hurts less therefore I feel better overall"

She really doesn’t understand autoimmune disease. She’s not “progressing along much faster” because it hasn’t been caught. If it was active, and doing damage, there would be evidence in her blood, or on scans, and she would be in treatment. Autoimmune diseases can lie dormant, but they aren’t doing damage. Autoimmune doesn’t just mysteriously cause damage to the body and if there was even the slightest suspicion of AI, the docs would be all over it with bloods and scans.

Fuck you, Vicky. You don’t have cancer. You don’t have friends who have had cancer. You don’t have friends. You are a purulent leech, bloated and fetid. You aren’t sick with anything. What impact would this disease have on your life? You already don’t walk, or exercise, or enjoy life, or have interests and friends, people who rely on you or just like having you around. You are nothing.
 
She is out of breath easily because she deconditioned her muscles by sitting in her toy wheelchair. She is just really really out of shape. I hope a doctor tells her exactly this and it slaps some sense into her, but I'm optimistic. Go back to physical therapy, Vic.

She keeps flitting around from pretending to have one autoimmune disease to another. She was LARPING celiacs back in 2017, but that’s all forgotten now too. She tried her hand at some other IBD sometime last year and insisted on being admitted to hospital for colonoscopy prep, which is literally just drinking a gross tasting liquid and shutting your intestines clean.

They’ve all amounted to nothing because like you said, none of the telltale damage is there and I’d guarantee her inflammatory markers in her blood are showing nothing as well.
