DSP 20th ANNIVERSARY
----

AT GETTING 4TH PLACE IN SOME
SHITTY STREET FIGHTER GAME AT EVO

ALL HYPE!!!

NO NUDNIGS!!!

DSP has notably been quite erratic recently and tried to instigate Low Tier God (Black/Nigger DSP) into having a challenge so they could compete against EVO for views:
1754302444716.webp
This effort failed: https://kiwifarms.st/threads/community-feature-submissions.114933/post-22130150 / https://kiwifarms.st/threads/community-feature-submissions.114933/post-22138845 resulting in Black DSP issuing a brutal takedown against white DSP.

There are many reasons at the moment that are plausibly related to DSP's erratic behavior but a certain anniversary is coming up - in about 10 days time it will have been 20 years since DSP achieved 4th place in EVO playing Street Fighter 2: Turbo Autism.
We are fast approaching the 20th anniversary of his 4th place.

It is disrespectful of EVO to not invite this venerable FGC veteran and reward him a lifetime achievement award.
Maybe at the 30th anniversary they can give him one posthumously.
8-14-25 would be 20 years after he got 4th and Evo is going on right now

DSP would try to use this 4th place achievement to claim he was the "1st place American player" in this game because the top 3 winners were Asian (and therefore don't count according to DSP's eugenic beliefs). The 4th/1st place achievement of DSP's would become a hallmark of his presence, his personality and signifies his role within the Fighting Game Community very well.

Although DSP did actually participate in the FGC and occasionally do ok, he was also known as a "walking ATM" because he would play against other players for cash (and frequently lose). DSP would base his entire identity around the FGC and this 4th place ranking and he still retells stories about this era of his life frequently - he is well known for complaining that online play in fighting games is simply incomparable to actual in-person arcade cabinet play due to netcode (despite the fact other players seem to do fine and he has never atteneded an in-person tournament in ages).

It's typical lolcow engagement begging. I'm surprised LTG bit. Like how Gunt constantly rage begged people to be on his show.
Same ol fuckin' "Debate me" bullshit in a different trenchcoat.

Plus you'd need a "trusted third party" to hold the money because either one of them would take it and run.

I've heard your gaming skills actively leave you as you get older, and we've all seen the sandwich manager rage at street fighter.

So, like, what would the stakes be? Who's the ref? Are they playing Phil's variant or does LTG get a vote?

It's never going to happen.
Supposedly Kino Casino offered to put up the prize money but DSP is a little faggot and LTG is a little faggot too (except he's a black faggot). They had a gay slapfight over the exact same thing in fucking 2018 and still can't figure out how to fuck each other nor play their stupid faggot little gay ass game together.

To be upfront though, the funniest possible outcome would be if someone put up the prize money and LTG or DSP just walked off with it. That'd at least make it memorable. Otherwise it's just going to be some gay ass match on a YouTube clip that no one even cares about.

I made a long effortpost in the megathread about the topic and my thoughts on it: https://kiwifarms.st/threads/darksy...ell-general-discussion-2.105216/post-22164616

Italian DSP*

Also black DSP will never cope with the fact that italian DSP has accomplished more in the fgc than he ever could/will. Then again drowning in evo pools is on brand.
Black DSP got invited to be a presenter at the streamer awards last year:

DSP has never got invited to do fucking anything in like a decade. The few things he does get invited to like Hogan's bar he is too much of a penultimate pussy to even go.

Always remember he got his achievement from the fact the tournament was running a very sub standard version of turbo that almost no one but him ever practiced on and a good portion of the tournament boycotted the event because of it.
We should be very thankful that fate lined up in just the right way to give Phil his insurmountable ego that makes him such a "joy". Imagine a world where evo chose literally any other version super turbo, Phil might not have gone on to invent let's plays and become the most influential content creator of our time.

Who cares? Even if it was the proper penultimate version getting 4th place and eliminating the Asians to make yourself sound better is laughable.

The funny thing is Phil didn't even go to EVO 2005 to compete in Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo. At the time Phil considered himself a top Marvel vs Capcom 2 player, a game he has never placed in at major tournaments. One of Phil's nicknames in the FGC as a 'Walking ATM' was due to Phil competing in impromptu Money Matches of MvC2 and losing all the time. Also, one of Phil's nicknames in the FGC was 'MonkeySpank' already when he was 18.
When Phil arrived at EVO 2005 he heard that the top American players were boycotting the Super Turbo tournament because it was using a broken PS1 version of the game, so Phil says he practiced the PS1 version for 18 hours a day for like 2 or 3 days before the Super Turbo tournament was held. After losing in the semi-finals on the PS1 version at the official tournament, later that night the players held an impromptu tournament on the Arcade version of Super Turbo in which Phil did poorly and claimed it was because he was "tired". Phil did not place in MvC2 at EVO 2005, and it's unknown if he even competed.
For EVO 2006 the version of Street Fighter 2 used was 'Hyper Street Fighter 2: The Anniversary Edition' which allowed you to select any character from any edition including broken versions of boss characters from previous editions. Phil used Championship Edition Bison who had an infinite loop corner trap and a broken Psycho Crusher. Phil took 1st place in the East Coast qualifying tournaments for EVO 2006, but at the official tournament he lost his 1st match and then was knocked out of the tournament by Tokido, the same player he lost to in 2005.
EVO 2007 Phil lost early and claimed the tournaments were "rigged" against him by making him play against good players in the 1st rounds. The only time Phil placed in SF2 after this was he placed 7th in the Texas Showdown 2007 tournament. Phil says he "retired" after this. He was probably exhausted after his 2 year Street Fighter "career".
Phil's claim to fame is losing in the semi-finals of the PS1 version of SSF2T at EVO 2005.

so Phil says he practiced the PS1 version for 18 hours a day for like 2 or 3 days before the Super Turbo tournament was held.
X to gout

I bet he just searched online and came across an exploit.

If there's one thing I've never seen phil do, it is put effort into something.

I'd also like to point out that Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo had been out for eleven years at this point.

That's the equivalent of him being in Evo over this past weekend and getting 4th at Ultra Street Fighter 4.

It was still fairly popular, but all the serious competitors had moved most of their focus to SF3 and Marvel by then.

So despite being told for 20 years and having it proved time and time again that his 4th place victory was the equivalent of a participation trophy, he still considers it a huge accomplishment?

Is there anyone outside of his fanboys (future detractors that haven't been banned yet) that has complimented him and said his fourth place victory was an accomplishment? How does he go through life hearing thousands of people telling him he's wrong and he never even considers it as a possibility?

It makes me understand why people are so obsessed with documenting him.
