I might be misremembering but there has not been a single person that believes there will be a redemption arc before Anisa and I split up. She will dump him, he will beg to be let back in, he will mourn the marriage, pine a bit more and then try to move on. This is totally not related to anything (Apologies thread), but when I was a kid, my dad used to refer to the Icicle Christmas Lights people put on their houses as Hanging Chads because he, like many boomers, is incapable of vewing the world through non-political lenses, and my younger brother, for his entire life actually thought that "Hanging Chads" was in fact the name of those lights up until he joined the Marine Corps and got sent to Japan, only to be talking to a friend who had no idea what he was talking about, so he goes to google them and finds references to Bush v. Gore and felt as though his entire Christmas Season life had been a lie.
