No one's ever denied that there was a whole lot of government incompetence and obstruction of the investigations, or that the hijackers likely had funding and support from influential people or countries whose identities aren't being disclosed to the public for potentially nefarious reasons. I've just never bought the idea that it was an inside job rather than a cassus belli that may have been allowed to happen to justify the War on Terror and the PATRIOT Act.
