Chappelle's account has been corroborated by tons of people, not to mention Paramount ultimately gave him his shit, all of which points to him telling the truth about this subject. I think what is going on is Trey and Matt were trying to get Paramount to drop them by saying "we will mock Trump worse and make your life hard." Or Paramount has to eat their shit, re-sign them, and pay them what they want, which is a power move on Trey and Matt's part - which worked, if the stories are true that Paramount re-signed them.
