Today the AG of North Carolina (Jeff Jackson) argued against releasing 50,000 pages of records regarding a professor at UNC named Ralph Baric and his work with the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
Dr Ralph Baric is very likely one of the creators of Covid-19 and also signed the letter condemning the "lab leak" theory. He worked with Shi Zhengli and Ecohealth alliance on coronavirus research.

There’s some weird shitlib Mandela effect going on where TDS retards seem to think the release of the Epstein files was a mainstay campaign plank that Trump campaigned on.

They’ll say it’s so but can never point to anything that supports the claim.

Trump said during two different interviews that he would release the files. Sure, he worded it in such a way that it wasn't a surefire thing (even using the same reasoning for why he hasn't released them, which is that there's "phony stuff" in them), but he also worded it in such a way that he'd have to give a really good reason not to follow through on it, and he hasn't.

Also, I already know what response you're going to make, because you put "mainstay campaign plank" in your post so that you can try and weasel-word Trump out of this by saying that a few short lines from two interviews wasn't that big of a commitment, and that it wasn't on his campaign website. While it's true that Trump's major focus on the campaign trail was his stated platform, it was irresponsible to give such firm answers to a question he was actually ambivalent on. Even more irresponsible was Trump's own campaign team signal boosting the part of the first interview where he said that he would release the files, which should really put this whole thing to rest.

If you are referring to polygamy in the early days of the Mormons, it was virtually condemned by everyone that wasn't part of the sect. If you mean the age of Kimball at the time of marriage she was 14 and he was 37 but they apparently kept the whole thing a secret. Polygamy arguably was the reason Joseph Smith got shot and killed.

To be fair to the modern day Church of Latter Day Saints, they ceased practicing it in the 1890 and to my understanding only smaller Mormon splinter groups (also known as "Mormon fundamentalists") still practice it. They still have plenty of strangeness about them though such as the Book of Mormon as a whole (despite being heretical as it relates to traditional Christianity it makes America the religious center of everything), baptism of the dead, the discouragement of drinking coffee/tea and their temple garments.

No matter how odd they are at times, strange homegrown religious American exceptionalism is preferable to any form of Islam in the United States.
