There’s a whole tranche of people who do stuff like this, they use medical ‘excuses’ to take themselves apart. Kelly Rohan is probably the most extreme example and that chick who cut her face up but people like this exist all over and they try to get the medical industry to do it for them. This is one reason why surgeons won’t do hysterectomies or sterilisations on young women, because they KNOW that a significant portion who ask are these women. Besides the other person she mentions in her post, I feel like there was at least one other girl who attempted this. I think her reasoning was, if she started it, a doctor would have to finish it. Definitely not as common as the ball thing.

EDIT: Found a case report on someone else’s attempt, might be the same one I was thinking of.
