Can't say I'm really that shocked, NAFO has been getting more openly violent and bloodthirsty than they were in 2022-2024 since their USAID funding got cut down.
I do suspect that these people keep up hopium about the whole war because any narrative besides "Ukraine will surely win this war some day" will not be acceptable for the audience of these sorts of creators. Any idea that wars can end in a manner that's not according to hollywood movie scripts where the plucky rebel alliance always wins in the end, is surely the result of Russian war propaganda.
They will insist victory is right around the corner and that Ukraine's triumphant return to the Soviet border is mere months away up until the very end.
You guys might not know about this, but there's also a subset of posters from Central Asia (Even my glorious potassium exporting country) who resent Russia - they usually inhabit facebook and other normie soc.media instead of xitter; And they've been "laughing" about this diplomatic decision for the past week - saying that "Russia is weak now", "They're scared of what might happen" and that "Finally Russia is on the brink of ruin"
A large section of people turn their brain off and just sit there consuming propaganda passively for hours a day, which obviously deforms their perception of the world and happenings in it. They hear that Russia really fucked up this time, they're running out of tanks, these new sanctions will wreck them, etc and they don't think about it vis a vis what's happening and what's been happening for the past 3, 5, 10 years.
Cue that 4chan screenshot (can’t remember if it was /pol/ or /b/) where the anon was saying that all you have to do to get a lot of Americans to support a war like this is spin it in a way where the side you want them to support are the rebels/jedi/avengers and the side that’s the enemy is the sith/marvel villains and you could get people on board with and cheering for the worst imaginable war crimes and genocide.
I can’t help but notice this over and over. People have treated this like a fucking sports league or fandom along the lines of some streaming service binge slop. They’re all comfortable in being too old or dysgenic to be of any use in a draft, so they just take ghoulish pleasure in watching men better than themselves be blown up by drones. It’s evolved past the dysgenic freaks on parade at their summits. They’ve taken to acting the same way mulattos on worldstar hiphop would act watching videos of blacks jumping whites.
These people have no personality, they’re on par with the crazy old harridans on Facebook who like watching monkey torture videos. Wouldn’t be surprised if this guy was some kind of depressed redditor that spends hours upon hours of what should be his formative years watching drone footage and then wondering why he’s depressed.
