Eponine isn't even a minority, she's just a dirt-poor girl living in Paris in the mid 1800s- and a character from classic literature.

There's legit nothing more to it than what I said: Eponine is a girl who grew up in poverty, she's covered in dirt and grime and gets her heart broken by a young man she pretty much joined the little rebel group depicted in Les Misérables for. Feminist icon right there, throwing herself into the wolf's den for a rich cishet white male who friendzones her for a much prettier girl.
The book is set in Paris during the June Rebellion of 1832 (and not the French Revolution like so many of these tards believe). It was written by Victor Hugo and published in 1862.
