I'm a little tired of just the fact that people are doing these explicitly political acts and then being surprised when they face consequences for it. There's a lot of things like this going on with things like BDS or the stop oil movement and the like.Even if you believe 100% in your cause, you should have the sense to realize that doing an act like this can cause blowback, in fact part of the point of doing acts like this is to cause blowback. Especially when he's an employee with a government that has become overtly hostile to his point of view in the last year. A whole ton of them are trying to defend it on the idea of free speech, but your employer has every right to fire you if you project a negative image for the department, which right now this type of act would. Dude was on probation too, even if it wasn't about trooning, I still would have no sympathy. You aren't entitled to a job
It's that, and the teeth-shattering hypocrisy, given that for the past decade or more trannies and their orbiters would delight in getting people fired for simply failing to seal-clap them hard enough.
You didn't even need to voice "transphobic" views, the mere suggestion that you might be sympathetic to TERFs was enough to hound you to the ends of the earth. Now that the pendulum has (partially) swung back they can't tolerate even a fraction of what they've happily doled out, like the pedantic, authoritarian yet chickenshit goose-steppers they really are.
