Tbh,Mrs. Jahn is probably a Heiress to an incredibly stacked family and The Fehlinger name probably carries enormous wealth from his Europe hopping banking exploits so him having a job is just something he does to keep the wife happy and give his son good morals. I have no doubt he's in a Gomez Addams tier situation financially where he simply just likes feeling productive because he wants to be and nothing else,and he simply cares more for his niche obscure eccentric interests than he does his actual monetary value,let alone flexing it.
