It's pretty unlikely they just up and take the kids away and send them to foster care based on this. Nobody's ended up in the hospital or raped, resources are really limited, and it isn't exactly some hyper-liberal area where they swoop down and seize kids because someone got smacked.
It's way more likely they tell them to knock it the fuck off and keep an eye on the situation. Or just do absolutely nothing at all.

Reminds me of that story where a teenage girl did some cocaine and died in a traffic accident. Somehow photo's of her mangled corpse ended up on the net and kept getting re-posted by the usual places. The family hired a PR firm to get rid of the images on the internet. They were unsuccessful and that was early 00's.
It goes without saying but there's no way in hell you could bury something like this. That family, shitheads that they are, just threw away money.

exactly. while i personally believe cody and emma would be better off with their birth mom, we all have to be realistic. CPS isn't just gonna snatch away the kids because of youtube videos unless an investigation finds that something bigger is happening in that house.
worse crimes have gone unpunished in areas like theirs after the internet uncovered them because there just wasn't enough solid evidence. sad but true.

Trying to be optimistic here, but Momma K.'s son managed to get the hell out of her life and is apparently doing a lot better. Same for Venus Angelic leaving her crazy mother, Margot. Emma, who spent more time with her birth mom than Cody did and has more perspective on the "this really isn't normal" side of things, will probably be able to adjust better once she's out of that house. With Cody, it's a lot more uncertain. I'd like to believe he could come out the other end a stronger person, but the odds are stacked against him.
Jake's probably gonna end up doing time at some point. See if he doesn't.

Nikki Catsouras. They also sued the emergency workers who had to have been responsible for the leak and, unfortunately, didn't win because those were really the only people there was any serious cause of action against. The chans got seriously the fuck out of line and were doing shit like texting the family the pictures while they were at the funeral, vandalizing the memorial pages and just reprehensible shit like that.

So I finally took a look at Nick's site. This nobody twitter "journalist" writes a rambling ""article"" in the hopes of getting e-fame. Everything about this, from his smug assurance of his own moral superiority to intentionally misleading readers with his "evidence" shows a guy waltzing in with an agenda to push in the hopes of making a career out of it. We've had OPs in Chris Discussion better written and researched than this so let me break down a bunch of things I found wrong with it.
First off, the kids aren't eating shit "literally". In fact, all this guys links are incredibly misleading, especially because as I pointed out earlier in the thread it is plastic shit and Cody thought it was funny. But hey, if Daddy of Five gets outrage for his video titles, I'm sure a ""journalist"" should be held to higher standards about not misleading readers for the sake of his offended morals.

Credit where it's due, Nick's write-ups of the videos and their problems are ok. Not great, because he adds things like "A smirking mike and jeering heather" which does nothing to explain the video content, but at least he couldn't twist things around and had to write the actions as they really happened. I'm surprised he didn't slip in a "Breathlessly Cody waited to die while his terribly no-good evil parents pranked him for hours on end, knowing that only his death or being sent to foster care would bring him the peace he has never once known" but hey, I'm sure Nick will put up another article soon so he can keep jerking off the e-fame!
But then he fucks it up with his video choices. Seriously, shit like this is his big evidence of systemic abuse? That an older brother went and sat silently in his younger brothers room, doing nothing and saying nothing, until the little tard has a freak out? That's not abuse that's having a sibling. This video where a father tells his son to man up and ignore an older brother is put on the same level as the video where they pretend Cody was abandoned at the mall. This is incredibly disingenuous. Lambaste people for the things they've done, not the things you imagine they'll do.

Finally getting to Rose's side of the story, and the """journalist""" happily overlooks everything about her story that should be a red flag. Two uneducated rednecks, one of which couldn't even graduate high school, are accused of hatching a child theft plot. This follows from a couple paragraphs earlier where Real Journalist Nick gleefully mocks Mike because he can't even photoshop a logo correctly since he's so stupid. We're to believe that Mike and Heather are crafty enough that they tricked a judge, the courts, CPS, and a notary into stealing children from someone?

If she didn't understand the documents she signed, or the deals to which she agreed, that's unfortunate but it's her problem. The only included evidence, by the way, is two police reports saying, "We went there and she told us a car she thought was Mike's kept driving by the house, and we told her that's not illegal but we'll tell him to knock it off in case it's really him". So fun fact here Real Journalist Nick keeps overlooking. You can have all this information on secret medical conditions and medical paperwork and shit, but when you get a document notorized you have to provide proof of identification. If what they're saying is true Mike and Heather not only forged her signature but also forged an ID and presented it to a notary at the time they signed the document.

This is incredibly interesting because it leaves out all the previous information we'd need. The evidence shows Rose refusing to meet for their child swap at the time they had picked at the place they have picked, and Heather threatening to go after her for contempt. The reason this is interesting, is if Rose has a history of not being on time or changing venues or anything, than by all means she SHOULD be held in contempt. Just because you're fighting an asshole doesn't mean you can ignore the rules. We've seen nothing that shows Rose is anything if not an unfit mother who lies to try and cover up her own stupidity in signing off on her kids.

In Conclusion: I think we should add Nick as a subject of this thread because as a reporter and a man he's a failure. Nothing has been proven here other than Mike and Heather are assholes, and Rose is either lying or unstable or both if she seriously thinks a guy without a GED could photoshop a fake ID and lie to a notary while faking her signature to steal two kids she's admitted she couldn't manage.
That's why I've been ignoring him. I saw plenty of videos that made my eyebrows raise, but they're being hyperbolic on purpose. It's just like all those EXPOSED videos from Keemstar wannabes on youtube, only through text form. I also groaned when the low-tier youtube channels with only a few thousand subscribers were the ones pining for Cody and Emma's mom and getting her immediately to tell her side of the story, clearly because it could make them famous. How did they even get in contact with her anyway? They're literal nobodies on youtube. Was she just contacting every single youtuber who even whispered DaddyoFive until one bit? I've been a little suspicious of this "mother" for a while now, whether it's actually her or if she's just as batshit.
I'd honestly laugh if the girl they're all interviewing wasn't actually their mother and turned out to be some crazy cunt.
