Mike tells Jake that Cody is being kicked out (as a prank, but Jake thinks it's legit)
Jake's response:

After revealing it's a prank Mike says in a joking manner "Hahaha! You're such a jerk!"
Then Jake keeps going and tries to convince Mike to legit get rid of Cody with Mike AGREEING with some of the points and not defending Cody at all.

Jake's assaults on Cody are by far the hardest to watch. Cody is literally screaming to the point of shooting out his voice and the dad does jack fucking shit about it. Just once I wish Jake's smugass face would get clobbered by someone bigger than him. Then he would know what it feels like to be beaten up with no way to fight back.

I wonder how the girls at school must feel about these videos. It must take a big man to beat up a small child.

I'm sure he attracts all the ones as vile as him and he's getting mad crazy bitch pussy.

He's probably gonna end up with a girl just like his mom.

"If they're bothering you, just do stuff back."
MommyOFive trying to incite violence between brothers for drama and YouTube clicks.

"... do stuff back [so I can give you shit for it]."

They're not allowed to fight back, there are repercussions for self defense in this home. Hell, there are repercussions for trying to walk away to find a quiet space to just be alone and cry.

It's clear that Mike and Heather don't love Cody. I'm saying that sincerely.
Jake can drag Cody and try to lock him in a dark room as Cody screams for help and get a slap on the wrist from Mike, buy Cody touches something and he gets screamed at.
I hope to god that Jake and Cody go to separate homes if they get taken by CPS cuz Jake is a little version of his dad.
I wonder why they'd want to steal Cody and his sister from their real mom...

In all seriousness, it's super fucked up how there's literally no "right" response for this. How is he supposed to react when he's getting picked on if the options he has are both wrong in his parents' eyes?

It's clear that Mike and Heather clearly don't love Cody. I'm saying that sincerely.

I don't think they know what love is, and tough love is the closest it gets for this family. Foster homes and group homes are always a last resort. They will always try to find a stable family member to place them with first.

The father of Jake and the other two boys is presently trying to get custody of them since this has come to light [can't confirm]. I don't think they will be put into a placement at all, let alone together.

I wouldn't even treat an animal like this. If these kids were dogs or horses, there probably would have been criminal charges laid already. I find it unsettling that there are greater protections for animals than children in a lot of states.

Abusive people often refuse to admit to themselves they're abusers.
They see stuff like Dr. Phil, news articles, etc. and think "nah, I'm not as bad as THOSE people!"

Straight up the stepmom says directly to Cody's face "I don't like you." I know she follows it up with "I love you", but I feel this is her true nature coming out. She calls Cody a "demon" constantly. Like, Mike at least puts on a show, but Heather shows nothing but disgust for someone who's she's the legal guardian of.

I think deep down they BELIEVE they love Cody, but I think, based on the evidence, they're lying to themselves as much as they lie to their family and to their audience.
We did it.

We've reached the point where we're A-Logging a minor.

And nobody feels bad about it.
That's one for the quote ticker @Null.
But in all seriousness, Jake is a brat. I don't want him to be harmed, but he needs to be put in a home where his awful, abusive, violent behavior is punished rather than encouraged.

i think the reason they don't like Cody is because of his disabilities. neither mike nor heather are probably capable of handling a child with mental disorders and have no intention of learning how to help him. so they turn to aggression and resentment since they're terrible parents.
and you can see in many videos that emma and cody stick up for one another (in the one where one of the stepbrothers slaps emma in the face, cody threw something at him when he realized she was crying, and i remember seeing another clip where emma confronted everyone and asked why they always picked on cody and they just laughed at her). so emma probably gets shit because she's the only one in the family who sticks up for cody.

To be honest, I don't see how Cody has special needs. I see this as Mike and Heather trying to figure out why he screams so much when his brothers come into his room and beat him up. He actually seems to be one of the most intelligent and well put together ones in the house.
I'm not joking, he comes across as more intelligent than Mike and Heather.

He talks in a clear and concise manner, doesn't stutter, is typically grammatically correct, tries to explain his feelings with words instead of violence, and is usually in the right.
His "parents" and brothers stutter, have a warped sense of right and wrong, say "uh" and "um" a lot, use internet slang in real life like "it's just a prank, bro!" and "salty" like retards, are often violent, and generally come across as unintelligent.

As for the crying and self harm, he's a fucking 9 year old trapped in a house surrounded by people incentivized to fuck with and bully him to tears and upload it to YouTube, of course he's gonna have trouble focusing in school. I'm surprised he hasn't killed himself yet.

Ok, so I'm going to edit my post. I heard it from Rose's side, their family has been in touch with Heather's ex and said he was working to get his boys out of there. I can't find it anymore, google is flooded with hits making it impossible search. His name has been kept out of this and he hasn't spoken publicly.

I have no reason to doubt it, there is no incentive for them to lie about it but at this time I can't evidence it. Apologies.
