Sopranos is still the best TV show ever: Appreciation Thread - or maybe the wire

Now up to D-Girl.

The first half of the second season is seriously lacking in Milfy, and while it’s good, it kind of fucks with the format of the show.

Then again, most episodes are so fucking tightly packed and well directed that it would have been hard for her to be present, but it’s weird that it’s the longest stretch of the show where she’s not a major part of it.

Up to the Season 2 Finale

The more I watch this show, the more I come to fucking loathe Pussy. He is not a tragic figure in any way or form, and deserves every single bullet that riddles his fat fucking body.

Pussy does that retarded thing where he thinks he can handle both the mob and being a confidential informant and ends up failing at both. He was a rat and not even a good rat at that. I agree, he got what he deserved.

Whatever evils Bobby committed, he paid for them by having to live with Janice. And for having to bang her? He got his wings.

Speaking of banging, top soprano waifu just showed up:

I think there are some parts of the show where they just couldn't think of what to do with her. Every episode was supposed to be set in her office, with her sifting through Tony's lies and half truths, but that eventually gets boring and they just showed you what Tony got up to.

It's also sad to compare how packed old shows were compared to newer ones. You get more story because they don't expect everyone to be binge watching this in an evening. Versus now where they're stretching six episodes of content into ten.

rewatching sopranos right now and ive always wondered how long Tony actually took his therapy seriously and actually wanted to improve himself before he regressed back to his usual ways and started using therapy speak for his own means. My main theory is that Tony was taking steps to learn from his therapy and change some of his ways but the assassination attempt by junior broke Tony again and he went right into being mob boss who cant be changed.

Where do you guys rank Joey LaRocca (road to respect protag) in the sopranos power scaling

I'd put him next to Christopher in his "loyle to my capo" phase. Surprisingly competent when focused. He comes across as more powerful than he really is because they book him up against jobber guineas, not serious top tier guys like Furio or even Bobby Baccala Sr.

Yeah that makes sense, i always saw him just under the top tier guys mainly because Joey is the protag of a video game with video game protagonist durability compared to every other character being from a tv show.

Such a disappointing game but many saints makes it look like GTA4.
