It is far too late to start closing ranks now.
we have to be on our best behavior. ANYTHING out of line can and will be used against you. especially anything about guns, any violence, fetish/sex anything, please be careful.”

lol good luck with that. They have zero tact about anything. They will never not show themselves up. I like only now they care about being on their “best behaviour” fuck the last decade of utter insanity.
LMAO exactly, If they were able to control their behavior, we wouldn't have over 7000 pages of this shit.

This argument pops up over and over, and it's always dumb. It only works with the assumption that the mutilations they undergo are phenotypically equivalent to "cis" analogs. That is manifestly obviously not the case. You can argue you're not a male, but that doesn't make you female, I guess you're just a medically created experimental other

Remember when the r/mtf mods tried to ban people who participate in sissy fetish and similar subs because “it reflects poorly on us” in *2025*?

:story:

And that was met with raging backlash from the users? (By the way being trans isn’t a fetish.)

I'm not particularly religious but I do believe in angels and demons, of sorts.
I think they exist in the form of memes (in the Richard Dawkins sense of the word, not funny jokes on the internet).

Dawkins coined the term "meme" as something analogous to a gene; a unit of cultural information that gets passed around a social group and can be passed down through generations. A kind of a mind virus which can be helpful or harmful, but either way it spreads from being to being.

An example of a good meme might be "you're married with with kids now, so don't fuck around, don't fuck up, work hard and do the right thing for your family."
A bad meme, in that it's somewhat harmful to your health, could be "smoking is cool because all the sexy movie stars are sucking on cigs and, BTW, you should always exceed the speed limit".

No hard disagreement to those who believe in literal angels and demons. I'm just saying that something similar definitely exists in terms of the cultural ideas we all pick up on.

The WORST demons that people can absorb today? Well, that's the voice tells girls to cut off their tits in pursuit of male privilege.
The one that forces men to cut off their dicks for guaranteed infinite lesbian sex.
The one that pushes kids to take hormone [x] to solve all their earthly problems.
Like every demon, transgenderism comes with a high price.

Troonism and poonism is a meme. It's a mind virus. It's a demon.
Those who willingly spread the idea to other people will be sent straight to Hell.
I hope.
They don't cut their dicks though. That's the thing. Maybe a few of them do the amhole surgery.

I was looking forward to having a look at what else the morons on r/4tran4 had to say since it's hilarious to see that they still only care about their "optics". It's like if your house completely burnt down years ago and you were still worried about the ashes. But of course, they decided to private their shit so, I figured I'd just go to the actual 4chan troon board and see what they have to say there instead even though it's probably nowhere near as entertaining.

Trannies and their supporters discuss solutions to the optics problem

Wild here, a full admission of it being a desire not a need and a rejection of WPATH standards of care, yet still fully committed to it.

This however is a good comment:

Isn't it interesting that a certain kind of pasty basement loner is the one to do this over and over again. Could there be some underlying tendencies towards this type of fascination with violence that applies regardless of what "identity" the person is carrying. Could it be excessive online consumption and general social alienation that drives these dudes into extreme internet rabbit-holes, possibly brought on by some sort of congenital tendency to have trouble understanding their own and other people's emotions?

r/MTF has now gone dark as a result of the tranny shooter.

I feel the Republican Party is using the lives of children to spread anti trans propaganda

As you all most likely know there was a school shooting. It just so happened that the shooter was a trans woman. Now republicans all on Twitter are blaming trans people for school shootings because they hate us and want to silence us all over the actions of one person. Well I’m going to be fucking honest if the Republican Party agreed to gun control and safety laws this would have never fucking happened. Most shooters are white men and this happens because we stigmatize mental health and give anyone under the fucking sun a gun without safety checks.
It is horrible how schools get shot up because people are too selfish to go through a background check to get a gun that they probably will never need to fucking use It is also horrible that every time a minority shoots up a school It is the minorities fault But when it is a white man who fucking cares you won’t see Fox News cover it. There are bad apples in every community.
I hope all the families are okay and that the injured children heal and continue to live safely.

Prepare yourself for an influx of vitriol. The Minnesota school shooter was supposedly trans

Obviously, there’s a distinction to be made between medically recognized sex dysphoria and random violent people identifying as trans, but the general population won’t make that distinction

In light of recent events, and anticipation in an uptick of transphobia. A message to our users.

As I'm sure many of you already are aware, there was unfortunately another school shooting in the US. While each one is a tragedy, this one in particular will have negative effects for the trans community. It is being reported that the perpetrator of this horrible crime was a trans woman.
As a note to any guests lurking, we do not condone her actions and we all wish this sort of senseless violence was not a reality. We ask our users that despite the horrific crime she perpetrated, that we refrain from misgendering her or disavowing her from the trans community. Pronouns are not a reward for good behavior. If they were, there are many cis people that the world would be misgendering. This is also not an opportunity for users to make any sort of transmisogynistic comments. While this is normally against the rules already, we want to remind users of the rules. And remind our users to not stoop to the transphobes level. Remember our sisters, and if you can, give support to them right now.
The last time this happened, when a trans man committed a horrible crime, trans men and transmascs were the primary targets.
Of course, all trans people are and were targets right now, and we are very likely to see a surge in transphobia towards all of us in the next few days, if not longer.
We wanted to let our users know what's going on behind the scenes so you don't worry.
We will be upping security measures on the subreddit for the time being. This means that our normal filters, which pick up anything it thinks may be rule breaking or anything from newer accounts or accounts with low karma and put them in the queue for manual approval, will be running at a higher level of filtration.
This means that it will be much more likely that a comment or post will be put in the queue, instead of posted right away. We ask for your patience right now, as we do anticipate a surge in our workload as a result. You may experience higher than average wait times for approvals or responses to modmails.
We also ask our users to please report any rule breaking behavior. Even if it's been up for a bit and you think it might have already been reported, it never hurts for more than one person to report!
We also ask that any transphobia, bigotry, or sitewide rule breaking posts, comments, or DMS also be reported to the admins!
When reporting content, the first menu that pops up will give you generic rules to report, starting with "Breaks r/ftm rules". When you click on that, every report reason you see will send the content you reported to our queue. If you DON'T click on that and report for something like hate, your report goes to admins. That typically takes longer for them to take action, so we ask that any transphobia be reported twice, once to us and once to admins! That way, we can take care of it right away, and admins can take care of the user on a sidewide scale.
If you receive a suspicious, inappropriate, or harassing DM:
We cannot do anything about DMs. We are only moderators (volunteer users) for this specific sub. Typically the people sending DMs are already banned from the sub. And if someone is banned from the sub, they can still SEE the sub, they just can't make posts or comments.
You need to report the messages just like how you would report anything else, and admins will be able to handle things!
Above all else, stay safe, don't engage with transphobes, and stay strong.

It was a trans person.

Not “really trans”, not “false flagging”, not “barely trans”. That was a trans woman. You can’t not say someone is trans because it’s inconvenient for you. Get a grip. Now you know what black people felt pre 60’s when there was black-on-white violence. Or how Muslims felt after 9/11. Just because someone is of a different ethnicity or is queer doesn’t mean they’re free of sin.

If you are mad that people are "misgendering" the mass shooter you are apart of the problem.

This dude created so much fucking ammo for the right wing to use against us for the next 3-4 months atleast. Fuck this guy.
Thats all I have to say. 🫠

Prepare for backlash towards trans people

So today there was another shooting in a Minneapolis church, 2 children are dead and 17 others are critically injured. The gunman killed herself the shooter was identified as Robin Westman and of course it turns out she was a trans woman 🤦🏻‍♂️ great, can’t wait to hear this being used against us for the next few months.

When you hear someone trans has committed a serious crime what is the proper way to address it?

This isn't just in reference to what has recently happened, but in a couple of other cases as well. Unlike some, I know full well that transness has nothing to do with what made someone commit a crime. But I also noticed that my knee jerk reaction is to completely distance them from transness in general. It's a reaction of fear that their actions will have the worst of people come out of the woodwork and go after trans people as a group. I know this isn't right. But I also haven't seen anyone really talk about how to address these matters when a culprit or criminal is trans. Since while it's rare for someone trans to go and commit a serious crime, trans people are just as human and flawed as everyone else. So, how do we approach it when someone trans does something really bad?

Minneapolis Shooting, and Our Future.

I'm aware of Rule 14, and I want to say that I don't think folks are going to be rounded up. I think we just need a come-to-jesus moment.
Look y'all, I'm gonna be blunt. It's already been bad as things stand. I think we need to buckle down, because things can get a whole lot worse for us. There is the possibility they will use her identity to justify our persecution. I'm not sure how much worse things are about to get, but I do know that we need to be aware that this has all the potential to open the pandora's box of persecution for us.
I've been surviving (either kinda in fear, or just boy-moding) as a young trans-femme just trying to cut it in the American South. I know it's hard, but not impossible. I love y'all. I don't think we're done. We as a community need to band together. Network and protect those you know. Get acquainted with your 2nd amendment rights. Get your documents together. We're not down and out, we need to lock-in and buckle up.
edit: forgot a few words.

A recent serious crime has been committed by a trans person and is already leading to increased transphobia: how to protect yourself online and stay safe during this time

Feel free to take this down if you don't believe this to be appropriate mod team. I am intentionally being a bit vague with my title so this post doesn't potentially get brigaded if the mods decide it's okay to keep up.
Not sure if this an appropriate post to make but I feel like this is an important PSA to make. If you haven't heard, there was a recent shooting in Minneapolis and the shooter has been identified to be transgender and I've already been seeing rapid upticks in transphobia since this announcement began, similar to the last time as mass shooter in the USA was confirmed to be trans. Unlike last time when it was a trans man, this time it's a trans women; when this happened last we saw not only an uptick in transphobia but rapid pushes to ban hrt (mainly testosterone in that case as it was painted to make trans people who take it to be innately violent). Rates of physical violence and doxxing also tend to spike. I suspect similar rhetoric about the dangers of transition, how being trans makes you dangerous, and how we need to ban and further marginalize trans people and the care that they need. This applies to mainly people in the USA but I believe it's applicable elsewhere— be prepared to see people use this as a justification to further push transphobic legislation. The last shooting was used to push transphobic legislation globally and I won't be surprised if it's done again this time.
Now for my suggestions, I suggest laying low and avoiding social media and general discussions around the topic for at least the next few days as I've already seen repugnant transphobia begin to pop up with threats of doxxing and physical harm already beginning. If you are going to argue or fight back against people, I suggest using a VPN and otherwise trying to stay anonymous. If you have an account that allows you to make it private, private it for a lot least a few days. If you have personal traceable information on social media, I suggest taking it down when you have the chance.
Last time this happened I witnessed quite a few trans men and transmasculine people end up getting doxxed and harassed with one account of somebody experiencing a physical altercation as a consequence and I don't doubt people will start trying to do this with trans women and transfeminine people. If you have the energy and ability to fight back against bigotry and misinformation that's already beginning to pop up, please make yourself as anonymous and intractable as possible. Otherwise, bunker down, keep safe, don't get into fights, and do what you can to protect your peace.
I'm unfortunatly speaking from experience as I've seen the consequences of how people will use mass shootings involving trans people as a way to doxx and harass innocent trans people. As somebody apart of an ethnic group who often experiences similar things whenever a mass murder occurs committed by one of us, this is a song and dance I'm familiar with. It's unfair that cis white men are able to commit violent crimes without their entire group being stereotyped and targeted as innately violent, but that's unfortunatly the world that we currently live in where minorities have the violence of a tiny portion of them paint people's perception of them as a whole. Please do be careful, protect your peace, spend time doing the things you enjoy, and don't believe anybody for a single second who states that violence is innate to us or how we transition. Trans people are not a monolith and especially not an inherently violent one. Trans unity and supporting each other against the people who hate us is becoming more and more vital every day. Most of all, be kind to one another, and take care of yourselves.

And of course, may everybody who's been impacted by this rest in peace and get the healing and support they deserve. That is a given but I feel like it's important to reiterate and important to support the people impacted by this.

Edit Want to make some clearer bullet points about my suggestions as I feel like I wasn't concise and I was jumbled here due to my own anxieties.
•If you have any identifying information on social media (mainly where you live, your legal name, and possible photos that would show your location or photos that have location metadata on them), get rid of it. Also look up how to disable location metadata for your photos on your phone and camera for future safety.
•Get some sort of VPN or other way to protect your location if you're going to continue to stay online.
• If you have social media which allows you to private your account such as Tumblr or Twitter, private your accounts now for at least a week.
• If you are going to engage and fight back against people spewing bigotry and misinformation, use an alt with a VPN an email not connected to you in any way
• If you don't want to involve yourself in this fight— which I suggest you don't; then log off for at least a few days and stay away from the news. Do hobbies that you enjoy, pick up a favorite food of yours, engage with lighthearted media or special interests/hyperfixations (as I know a lot of trans people are autistic or ADHD), spend time with people and pets who love you and validate you.
•Community is more important than ever. Take care of and be kind to both yourself and the other trans people around you. We are stronger together, trans unity becomes more and more vital every day.
• Don't think this doesn't apply to you if you're not from the USA. This event will be used to as a justification for transphobic legislation across the globe; it happened last time and it will most likely happen again. Be diligent, be careful.

History of Mass Shootings and Trans people (This is the 2nd in 60+ years of data)

I was Googling around about this new mass shooter you've just had in the US, because I was hearing they were trans... so I looked into it, and lo and behold, a confirmed MtF mass shooter. (spoilers: the first in recorded history)
Naturally, the next step was to look into other trans mass shooters (because the right constantly claim they all are) -- "the mass shooter was trans" is the most boy-who-cried-wolf statement whenever anyone hears about a mass shooting.
I came across this article when searching about trans mass shooters (The Vast Majority of Mass Shooters Are Cis Men. Why Does the Right Keep Saying They're Trans?) talking about the right-wing propaganda machines purpose for baselessly claiming most, if not all, mass shooters are trans -- TL;DR: Deflect from gun control laws, and push anti-LGBTQ legislation.
That article led me to a source (The Violence Prevention Project), which uses the Congressional Research Service's definition for "mass shooting".
The VPP page has a linked google doc containing every confirmed mass shooter, under that definition, since 1966.
Of now-196 mass shootings since 1966, there have now been 202 perpetrators.
Of those 202 people, 2 have been confirmed as transgender: (as of writing it isn't updated for today, but I'm sure it will soon)
  • Aiden Hale, 2023 Nashville; Female-to-Male
  • Robin Westman, 2025 Minneapolis; Male-to-Female
The Congressional Research Service (and therefore the Violence Prevention Project) uses a very narrow definition of "mass shooting", hence "only" 202 cases since 1966. So what about elsewhere?
The Rockefeller Institute of Government have the number at 502 since 1966; and the Gun Violence Archive have 503 mass shootings in 2024 alone, 659 in 2023, 644 in 2022, etc.
Looking back, I saw that the first-linked article actually said this: (I found the GVA from another article, unrelated to trans people)
The [Gun Violence] Archive’s Executive Director Mark Bryant says that out of more than 5,000 mass shootings, the number of trans or LGBTQ+ suspects is in “the single digit numbers.”
Buuuut, then again, the never-ending machine of hate doesn't really care. They'll claim the next one was trans, they'll claim the next 100 are trans; and it'll work -- most people will hear "the shooter is trans" and they'll not think twice about it.
Goebbels would have a field day in 2025.
Oh, I'm turning off notifications for this post too; I don't want to feel obligated to read the sheer quantity of them when I wake up, because I have a feeling this will gain some sort of attention.

Yes, the Minneapolis Shooter Was Trans. Why On Earth Does That Matter?

Taking advantage of dead kids is just about as low as one can go. That hasn't stopped transphobes from using the Minneapolis shooting to attack the trans community.

Earlier today, reports emerged of a mass shooting at a Minneapolis Catholic school. Not long after, the suspect—found dead at the scene along with two victims—was identified as being Robin Westman, a transgender woman. Quickly, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem took the opportunity to highlight that fact, and now, the fact that the shooter was trans has become a central part of the story. This isn’t the first time Republicans have taken advantage of a shooting to attack the trans community either. In the aftermath of the 2023 Nashville shooting, the fact that the perpetrator was a transgender man set right-wing media ablaze.
These attempts have one goal: to create a relationship, in the eyes of the public, between being transgender and being a shooter. This scapegoating isn’t new: throughout history, minorities have been collectively blamed over the actions of a single individual. In the US, we don’t have to look too far: the last time scapegoating attitudes permeated the American public, more than 120,000 Japanese-Americans were put in concentration camps.
So, why is it happening? And how can we push back?

A Dangerous Game

In order to advance transphobic sentiments, anti-trans advocates play on fear, and because there’s no logical reason for trans people to be feared, they rely on the irrational. In this game, their weapon of choice is anecdotes. Take, for example, ads against trans participation in sports. Most of these ads only present one argument: an anecdote. Someone like Payton McNabb—who was injured while playing volleyball against a trans opponent—or Riley Gaines—who tied for fifth with transgender swimmer Lia Thomas at some point—shares their story of competing against a trans person while somber music plays in the background. After the story, their rhetoric shifts to something along the lines of ‘If trans women were banned from women’s sports, this wouldn’t have happened to me.’
In ads like this, they attempt to establish a relationship between trans people and negative outcomes for female athletes. Their argument is not rooted in statistics or logic, but in an isolated incident. And unfortunately, because much of the public is not very well informed on trans people, this negative exposure can be all it takes to change someone’s mind. This rings true for detransition-centric arguments against gender-affirming care too.
When it comes to the Minneapolis & Nashville shootings, it’s the same story. Except this time, it’s much more unsettling. By highlighting that the perpetrators were trans, those on the right create an opportunity for a relationship to be drawn inside people’s minds between being trans and being dangerous. And the proliferation of that idea can mean nothing good. Even without anecdotes backing them up, many states have passed laws restricting the bathrooms trans people can use. Now, imagine what will result from people believing that someone being trans will make them more violent.
Transitics aims to provide grounded political analysis and news on issues affecting the trans community. If you want to stay up-to-date with current events, please consider supporting my work with a free subscription!

More Than a Culture War

Aside from the glaringly hateful intentions of this rhetoric, it also serves another purpose: distracting from the fact that this country is in desperate need of gun control laws. Because even amid all this transphobia, conservatives don’t attempt to discuss any form of gun control. And if you pay attention, they don’t ask why a trans person (who they view as mentally unwell) is allowed to access an automatic weapon; they ask why a trans person is allowed in the first place.
Trans people are 1% of the American population. So, if trans people were as likely to be involved in shootings as the general population, we can expect 1 out of 100 shootings to have been perpetrated by a trans person. Except trans people aren’t as likely to commit shootings: of the 286 shootings this year alone, this is the first to involve a trans shooter. So let’s be clear: trans people do not carry out shootings because they’re trans. If a trans person does become a shooter, it’s for the same reasons (often a combination of mental health conditions, political extremism, and personal trauma) that led cisgender individuals to carry out shootings in Parkland, Uvalde, Las Vegas, and so many other places.
But even if this were the third, fifth, or tenth shooting to involve a trans shooter, the number doesn’t matter. Because we shouldn’t be wondering who the shooter is. We shouldn’t be waiting to discover if they are transgender or not. We shouldn’t be checking to see how many people died today. There’s only one thing we should be asking ourselves, no, asking our country, right now:
Why is Robin Westman the 286th person to carry out a shooting this year and not the 1st?

This would be funny if there weren’t like a gazillion posts from MTFs saying “Why do I keep getting misgendered? I have long hair so I’m obviously a lady, duh!”

I tried going to fetch some examples but r/mtf is down. I thought you guys don’t care about respectability politics or optics? Open the sissy porn civil rights sub back up!

That is the most sexist thing I have ever heard. Does medium length hair make one intersex by that logic? And by that logic a lot of metalheads are women instead of men, and 80's glam rock bands were girl groups!

I need to point out how retarded Troon "science" is here.

"In science, sex is determined by 4 categories
Primary sexual characteristics, (penis, vagina)
Secondary sexual characteristics (breasts, facial hair)
Gonadal sex (hormones}
Chromosomal sex
3/4 of these can be changed. ... and chromosomal sex is the least important, since it is not visible"

Lol. As if science ever believed a woman became in any way male if she had some facial hair, or a man became female if he had moobs. Middle eastern women and fat men don't exist in science apparently. And how are chromosomes the "least" important, when they're literally the cause of all their other stupid "categories"?
This is like saying "Being a child is determined by 4 categories. Small size, child-like features, not having reached puberty yet, and age. The age though, is the least important category, since you can't see the numbers."
Troon science, people

Trans women don't owe you femininity, and it is wrong for you to assume someone's gender based on how they look, except when you should do exactly that and if you can't mind read the situation you're a transphobe.
