We're talking about a guy who only cared about his own kids because he thought he could make hot youtube bux off them. He doesn't have the mental capacity to think "hey at this moment what the kids need is more important than my needs" - he's just thinking "wow I got these kids fair and square and now I'm losing them - I'm gonna drag my feet and be a dick because fuck y'all"

At this point it's basically about the original attitude behind taking Cody and Emma, feeling like they need to somehow prove they are the best or winners because they have the custody. The kids are not people to them, just trophies of how Mike got revenge for a breakup years ago.

just speculation - but given some of the dates, it could be a custody related issue with Zopp. He seemed to have a good job (when we could access his FB page that is) and could provide well. If he new of Heather's debts, hey may have been seeking custody because she isn't able to properly provide for their kids - and this is before the scandal really took hold. After the scandal, a further push to get her in court. Unless it was to adjust alimony payments and/or child support or something, I can't think of any other reason for a divorce modification so long after the divorce was finalized.

Perhaps. I just have difficulty understanding the mindset of people like this where their kids welfare doesn't come first.

If this is true, this alone is proof they are shitty parents to begin with. Like, thats so fucked up. No matter what beef you have with your ex, you should never badmouth them in front of the kids (unless like, extreme situation, which doesn't seem to be a case here), there's time and age for kids when you can explain situation to them, but this?

Yeah this was off to me as well. I think you'd phrase it in a way that doesn't put the kid at fault so you wouldn't kill their confidence.

Maybe they'll have to start pranking Jake.

Whatever happens, I feel most important one should be that Cody needs to know that what happened was never his fault and that there will always be people that will take his side. And this kinda goes for all of the kids that are going trough abuse like this. Maybe some kids will see this ordeal and recognize it too.

Now that I think about it, their videos should be relabelled ''Abuse 101 and how to recognize it''. At least there would be some good public service from those shitstains.

I should imagine it feels akin to when you first go on holiday, rejuvenating, adventurous and all that. I hope that invigoration continues for as long as possible. I truly hope they continue to bounce back from all the crap.
