I kept wondering the same thing too, and then Tammie kinda answered the question the last time she spoke to Jordy (I think it was the last time). I'm paraphrasing but she said "I loved my only sister and spent years trying to find her and her kids and when I did she was drugged up and her kids were in state care. Then years later, two of her sons are addicts and in and out of jail and two were removed from her care permanently, and Amber was the only one I could have a relationship with, she was the one link to my sister." We have to remember Tammie doesn't finish one thought before moving onto something else, so sometimes you have to fill in the blanks, so that is probably not word for word what she said.

Speaking of her brothers, do we ever know what happened to the one who found them? Amber went on and on about him and then never talked about him again. I still remember her using him as an excuse to pig out and ruin the diet of the day that day. It's still funny to me, states away, she used that as an excuse to eat whatever she wanted.
