He's such a tryhard. He's that asshole friend we all had in college who had no real identity so tried to be wacky and counter-culture by wearing pink and reinventing himself every semester in the hope he would find the right attention-seeking personality.
Since coming across our radar, Jake thus far has been a coffee-slinger, male prostitute, life coach for polyamory, coder/programmer, school bus rehabilitator, husband then ex-husband, boyfriend, and great liberal safety-pin wearer. And he did it all with ridiculous hair, stupid shirts and pink Chucks so that no one would mistake him for a normie.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I don't think Jake has escaped the weird life.
I have this thing where whenever I see people on here talk about how shitty somewhere in the US is I use a burner OKCupid account to see what's what as it usually gives a funny insight into the local fauna of the area. The other day I looked up Seattle and amongst the frankly astonishing amount of dangerhairs and beached manatees I stumbled across this:
I guess it's still an upgrade from living the weird life with Comical Ali, though.

What sucks is that this was so close to being a happy ending. This could've just been a weird point in his mid 20s that he just looked back upon occasionally in embarrassment. It makes me wonder if this is in the DNA of his personality now, and he won't ever be able to have a regular relationship.
