The evidence that Robinson was a “Groyper”—a member of an online further-right-than-thou movement that had harassed Kirk and President Donald Trump—was paltry. Why did anyone believe that idea to begin with? Already it bore the marks of an incipient conspiracy theory, a soothing nugget of esoteric knowledge, suppressed for political purposes. Many of those suckered in were victims of their own motivated reasoning. It hurts to admit that a movement you like has produced a bad person, and it hurts even more to admit that bitter truth to a gloating member of a movement you hate.

The drugs do what they're supposed to do, they all have legitimate uses, be it birth control, helping mothers struggling to lactate, castrating pedophiles, etc. The problem is doctors lying about them , saying that they'll turn you into a woman, that they're safe and reversible, and talking parents into giving them to children who can't even get their ears pierced on their own

It's the part of me that just cant let go of 'do unto others.' I mean if he gets doxed because I posted here? We'll, you see what he wrote. Not gonna loose sleep over it. Not going to be a massive dick to the guy/people that did it. But much like putting "this product causes cancer" on the side of a pack of cigarettes is kinda dumb, its mostly just for my own peace of mind than thinking it really means anything.

Just a slight personal rant. A few years ago, a close friend of mine defended Disney for firing Gina Carano over her statements on twitter. He stated that it wasn't an attack on her freedom of speech because Disney itself is her employer and they can choose to fire someone over their speech if they wish.

Today, he's exclaiming that what happened to Kimmel is an attack on his freedom of speech. I usually keep to myself when friends discuss politics in front of me, but this time I ended up saying "Like Gina Carano?"

No joke, the the anger I saw in him was almost scary. I didn't say anything else during his mental gymnastics rant other than the occasional "Ok" and "Yep" but now I think I'm done having a fence up my ass from all the sitting I've been doing.
