Personally I don't see why they don't use Nostr. It's piss easy to set up a Nostr instance with Soapbox. And thanks to Alex Gleason's work it's also bridged with the Fediverse and Bluesky. You can interact with everyone from the chuds on Poast to the troons on Bluesky. Ditto is the primary soapbox instance with minimal moderation.

I wonder why are all of these companies going in lockstep to restrict what you can possibly do on the Internet (remember back in 2011 when you start posting weird shit on the Internet people will do their job to deal with you and not the governments and corporations?) even if they have no credit card companies pressuring them or shouldn't have ever since the UN extended the definitions of Child Porn to include fictional characters in 2019, and all of them follow the exact same Commonwealth pattern of "no hypnosis, no rape, no loli/underage, no gore, no scat or drunk girls". This is Globalism in hot action.

Sooner or later they will be banning people for the slightest of infractions and even minor and petty issues (e.g. anime girl that is not canonically an adult in a bikini) to the point where the only place left for any sort of slightly out-of-the-line action is the deep web. I don't think it is the companies going in lockstep due to some collusion between them but rather that the advertisers have become more careful and started to realize what they were putting ads on.

Like normal people that use to go "I support trans rights" because "they just want to exist" And they supported it because it sounded reasonable and they never actually looked deeper into it.
Now normal people are discovering all the degeneracy and that most of them are dangerous sex-offenders and the support drops like a hammer in a lake.
Same for advertisers.

Advertisers never used to micromanage exactly where there ads where or check exactly what content they were putting ads on. But they too are starting to realize for example what extremely brand destroying videos Destiny and others make.
I think they basically went from "leftism is popular among the young, destiny and others seem popular with the young, lets advertise where the young are watching"
and just took a backseat.
But now they are increasingly "I wonder what kind of content my ads are shown next to on the tubes?" and they go "holy fucking hell, this is another Bud-Light situation just waiting to happen."

The thing is reddit has already done a few ban-waves on these type of subs, yet so many of them still exist. Reddit knows these people make them money, so they just offer up some of the smaller ones a sacrifice when the media hounds them.
