I've been to the Wiki and re-read the OP -- I even played through a bit of Nora's boring-ass 'game' -- and I can't find an answer to this question: did Nora go to college? Where, and studying what?

She speaks of 'school' and 'schoolwork' but only in the vaguest possible way. It seems an odd omission.

I'd have to dig through her tweets and there's literally hundreds of thousands, but I believe it was the University of New Mexico Albuquerque and her degree is in English (I may be confusing her degree with Pixyteri).

If memory serves (from several hundred pages ago), she has a degree in "University Studies", which is her school's version of what happens after you accumulate 4 years worth of credits while only taking electives and never declaring or pursuing a major.

Depending on who you ask, she either took no major or majored in something fucking worthless like Gender Studies.

Nora moans about her mother misgendering her because her relationship with both parents is similar to the relationships high school freshman have with their parents. She is absolutely beholden to them financially so she has to play nice because without them she really is screwed. Parents are willing to support their petulant fakeboi non-binary turtle-kin fifteen year without whacking them with a stick because that's part of the parent-child contract. Teenagers are assholes and everyone knows it and expects it and they eventually grow out of their delusions and attention-seeking.

But Nora's almost thirty and engaging in those special gender antics and knows there is no way for her to shield herself from her mother's exhausted disbelief. She cannot limit or cut off contact the way other people do when loved ones refuse to honor their special pronouns, sexual orientation and similar because she refuses to work. So she's reduced to whining on Twitter because she's traded her dignity and complete independence of thought for daddy bucks and cannot set bottom lines with her parents.

Moreover, even if Nora was genuinely transgender or non-binary or whatever the fuck, her mother has no incentive to placate or concede because she knows there will be no repercussions if she refuses to acknowledge her daughter's idiocy. Nora's not going anywhere. Her mother knows that. She likely has zero respect for her grown ass toxic daughter who spends all her time being reviled on Twitter.

If your hand is always in your mom's pocket, if you have no job or future life plans that don't hinge on Twitter permitting those plans, if your parents witness your continual failure on their dime up close and personal, you can't demand their respect when you suddenly decide you are some new toilet pronoun.

Get a job, accomplish something and maybe they won't treat her like a child whose parents are sick of setting an extra place for their kid's imaginary friend.

Wow, the Norasphere is actually worse than us. I don't think we've openly celebrated anyone's death other than kiddy diddlers.
Imagine being such a loser that someone just saying something you disagree with means celebrating their death.
Nora is a disgusting human being, but I wouldn't celebrate her death. It wouldn't even register. Just like her life, her death would be meaningless.

Oh, I don't know. There are circumstances under which I could find Nora's death pretty amusing. Something karmic, perhaps. Say, perforated gut from an excess of bile. Deep vein thrombosis from chronic inactivity. Or cancer of the whoopsie because boys don't need pap smears.

I could a-log all day.

I know Nora is a fool who thinks Tumblr logic is real, but even then it doesn't really work here.

Yes, Tracer is a lesbian, but she also put her own life at risk of her own free will in the lore, so if she dies while putting herself in that aforementioned risk, Tracer knew the risks, and by playing as her that's true for the person playing as her.

Not to mention Tracer keeps her sex life pretty discreet, so how would anyone know she was a lesbian if they killed her?

Oh, her cause of death could be amusing. But just her death wouldn't. She says stupid, disagreeable things, but she's not Hitler. She's hopefully not out there molesting kids. She's just a sad, lonely fat lump and when she expires she will have made no positive impact on the world.
The very least she could do is die in an amusing way and give everyone a laugh.

I am sure that if I had heard of Bob Owen before yesterday I would hate him. However, I wouldn't wish the sort of mental torment that drives someone to suicide on anyone. If I am going to make light of someone's death, it should be because he died in a somewhat ironic way or as a consequence of his loathsome beliefs.

Nora is more of a sad person than a loathsome, dangerous person. Bob Owens was apparently mean to people in the abstract. Nora spends her time being mean to people one-on-one.
