A fidget spinner is a toy designed to relieve stress or anxiety. A few prongs surround a circular pad, which is held while the toy spins around. There's nothing remarkable about them, unless you make the mistake of venturing into the subreddit dedicated to them:

It is an overflowing volcano of Autism.

These reminds me of the yo-yo craze of the early 90's. It was so widespread the Simpsons even featured it in an episode (the one where Bart pretends to answer Mrs. Krappables(?) personal ad).

The problem with millenials is they don't spend $60 on a piece of plastic? Would people make up their minds as to whether millenials have a sense of value or not?

And just saying dude: your kind of attitude is what got us the dot com burst of the 90's. People who had no sense of what something's actual monetary value is.

well, they're made for crazy and autistic people, to make em lol calm down. so of course any discussion of them will be crazy people and reeeeeee.

a hundred fucking dollars, sweet Christ.
>spends a ton of money on a hunk of plastic
>accuses everyone else of not understanding the value of things
>top. kek.

Would you call someone "autistic" for wearing a Patek Philippe watch? Or driving a Mercedes Benz?

The thing is you can drive a Mercedes Benz and a fancy watch gives you very precise time, so they are at least functional. Also those things are meant to make you think that the owner is very wealthy and powerful for being able to afford those things. But when you see a person with a spinner, all you can think of is how retarded they are.
