TGWTG Hope Chapman / Jacob "Jack" Chapman / JesuOtaku - Self-loathing weaboo redneck. Blew her way to ANN gig. Goon and troon.

Definitely going to put a :horrifying::horrifying::horrifying: warning on this one, but guess who was in a drag show recently?

Now, call me a bigot, but I can't shake the feeling that doing drag when you're already a man who used to be a woman is a bit ironic. Wouldn't that trigger your gender dysphoria? Makes you wonder if all this tranny stuff is really legitimate.

To her credit, though, she was the only queen there with an authentic pair of tits.

Hope, baby, darling, while I can appreciate the effort in challenging traditional standards of beauty, you look like a mess.

tbh it's almost like they want Jim to make a video covering them.
I'm not sure why they even bothered bringing this shit up at all. The IA video was about Doug, if Jesu appeared at all then it must have been something extremely minor.

Is it really just "a guy who briefly supported gamergate nearly 3 years ago had me appear for 5 seconds in a video therefore I'm being harassed"? I could kinda see that being the case given the Twitter culture Hope is a part of has a really ridiculous definition of what constitutes harassment and being a "creeper" (like for example, I'm not shitting you, "unsolicited tweeting")

...why? Why is any of this happening?

So she still has her tits. Doesn't look like dysphoria too me. Looks more like she got sucked into that genderqueer bullshit.

I can't find context for the second image, but the first and third are from when he attended Drag Con (a fan convention about drag mostly affiliated w/RuPaul's Drag Race), while also wearing a costume. It's distinct from being in a drag show because he, himself, did not perform.

I'd also argue that although doing drag could trigger gender dysphoria, it's not guaranteed to because drag is an exaggerated performance of gender unlike one's everyday presentation as that gender. Like, if you're a queen in drag, your appearance and mannerisms are heightened and distorted compared to the average woman, and you're deliberately inviting comparisons between yourself and women, and whatever persona or character you portray is what's projected to others. But a lot of dysphoria is triggered from others perceiving you as your assigned gender in situations where you aren't inviting them to, or from the belief that your everyday self doesn't match the gender you identify as.

I don't know if I'm making sense, but I'm saying essentially that Hope doing drag is kinda like him playing dress-up or doing crossplay and it lacks the emotional ramifications of being considered a woman when he's just trying to live as a dude, I guess. Feel free to disagree though. It's a nuanced issue and I can see where your argument comes from.

To be fair, it costs thousands of dollars and takes a lot of medical consultation and time to get rid of your tits. Him still having tits could result from a lack of financial security, doctors not giving him the "go ahead" yet, him still weighing his options for a surgeon, etc. Not to dismiss the possibility of genderqueer bullshit, of course.

I watched a few anime simply because Hope reviewed them (Koi Kaze, Azumanga Daioh, Now and Then, Here and There) and I liked the Digimon retrospective videos (speaking of, these need to be archived if they're not already), but I had always wondered if something was off about her. She was definitely one of the most autistic and hyperactive of the TGWTG crew, had quite the no indoor voice next to Linkara, and she just had a terrible schedule even before Blip went kaput. Before she made the announcement of retiring her reviews, I had stopped watching her out of boredom and never really bothered going back to rewatch the reviews. I learned over time she was a bitch, but never would've thought she'd turn into this.

What a trainwreck, definitely one of the worst to come from the crew.

It's like Hope is trying to become Hana from Tokyo Godfathers but is lacking the charisma and character development to pull it off.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I almost forgot about this open letter to Hope someone wrote about three years ago. He wrote it simply because Hope was talking shit about the brony fandom, so the guy sperged out about it while calling her out for mindless hate. I only knew about this because Sage read it out loud on his Super Toolshed podcast. Long read, very autistic, but it's JesuOtaku-related. But it's kind of small potatoes at this point, not even sure if it'll get mentioned by Jim when he gets around to talking about her, to be frank.

Really Quite Frankly: An Open Letter to JesuOtaku
