Furry Fandom and Drama General

Just wondering, should Dutch Angel Dragons have their own thread? I mean, check this shit from their website out...

"Before the time of conflict, all Dutch Angel Dragons had a special marking around their muzzle in the shape of a ring. This was a symbol that represented their bond of loyalty to the realm and a promise of the duties they would uphold. When they no longer had the ability to reside in the Paradise and this responsibility was revoked, the ancient ones removed the band from their coats to show that this bond was now broken. It is for this reason that no Dutch Angel Dragon can have or form this marking on themselves, as it is no longer within their abilities to do so.

"However, Telephone was unique in the way that it had not joined the conflict, holding strong to its duty as a protector and guardian, and was not forced to leave by the ancient ones. However, a great sadness had formed within Telephone as they have now become completely isolated from the rest of the Angel Dragons. Since the roles of the realms have now changed, there was no longer a necessity to protect anything from within the Paradise: no internal conflicts could be introduced and no outside influences could find their way into the realm that did not meet the requirements for integrating with the realm. Although allowed to stay, Telephone ultimately chose to leave and join the rest of the Dutch Angel Dragons in Aether. It is the only dragon that is able and continues to display the ring marking around its muzzle."

Basically what it boils down to is Telephone crying, "I'm sooo special, you guys! No one else can have a muzzle ring because they're not special like me and my Mary Sue!" Sheesh. Dutch Angel Dragons are such elitist snobs and they're multiplying like a virus. They're the walking definition of "popufur."

Because I am a dedicated armchair psychologist, I have to wonder if childhood television goes hand in hand with fetishes. It would explain the inflation fetishes and furries quite well.

Bestiality long predates television, though, and we all know furries are just zoophiles in mascot costumes.

19th century furry art:

Medieval brony art:

The guy at the back is the Kiwi Farmer of his day. He's horrified, but unable to stop watching.

This would explain why so many furries are into things like pokephilia. However this does not explain why I don't have a massive fucking club penguin fetish. Perhaps what you do as a kid only manifests as a fetish with certain people (read: :autism: ).

It's a variable, but that's what I think is going on: the experiences of childhood can morph into fetishes. This explains too much to ignore.

I need to collect more data.

Telephone is furry drama incarnate but I'm not sure she is thread worthy... YET. Pretty much everything she's done so far is just fandom attention whoring and playing the victim/pity card when she doesn't get her way.

In other news, if you were ever curious what went on at conventions in the 90's and early 2000's, the ConFurence Archive has launched to indulge your curiosities. Caution! It's chock full of material guaranteed to make you cringe. https://confurence.com

This could go in, like, three threads, but I'll just dump it here.

Califur, a small furry convention outside of Los Angeles, was forced to cancel a babyfur panel due to "threats against staff and the hotel". The con tried to disguise the panel by calling it a "Littles Meetup" instead of its original title "meet the babyfurs" which seems to indicate that they knew there was going to be an issue with a babyfur panel from the get go.

I've seen a few people claim the Furry Raiders were behind this... Like it's a bad thing.

Normally I don't like it when moral guardians shut down panels but babyfurs are people who get off to larping as sexually active children. I'm amazed anyone tolerates them.

The furry raiders, alt-furry, and the like are not the only people who are absolutely against that kind of thing. Cub is one of the most divisive topics in the furry fandom, and there are quite a few people who think that cub should be banned everywhere, not just restricted to corners of websites.

Remember the whole furry network cub ban shitstorm a year ago?

Yes, I remember hearing about that. It basically boiled down to, "What?! I'm not allowed to upload my cub art here? Well, I'll go to this other website that totally allows and supports it! So, there!" It was a huge drama on FurAffinity and other sites.

The fandom needs to police itself better and rub out gross shit like this. Many cons have already made it extremely difficult for companies like Bad Dragon to openly showcase adult toys in places like the dealer's rooms and have explicit rules on wearing fetish gear in public, this is just the next logical step.

Well said.

I really don't see why this is so hard for some furries to get. If a gross behavior or fetish is not considered acceptable in day-to-day life, then it probably shouldn't be acceptable at a furry convention. This is why nobody likes you furries.

Also, it's pretty clear that Cub = Pedophilia. Nobody likes pedophiles, so if you normally wouldn't allow child porn on a website, why would you allow child porn for children with animal characteristics?

Furries in general are deviants whose behavior has no place in every day life. Why would you expect them to draw a line with anything?
