Blog I linked to the thread had these cases of nurses and therapists and other "professionals" being too so ass deep in trans agenda parents had to fire a therapist because she promised the kid she would educate mom of how the kid 100% must be trans or some shit. If the parent isn't batshit insane, unfortunately lot of other important adults and "gatekeepers" from keeping your stupid experimenting kid potentially ruining his/her life, are.

A big problem is that doctors and therapists are harassed and outed as bigots, their careers possibly ruined, if they don't do anything but 100% affirm a kid as trans. Basically kids get to diagnose themselves and call the shots, unlike any other medical situation a kid might be in, where doctors (along with parents) are typically in charge.

Part of this is due to anti-conversion laws. Not all states have anti-conversion laws, but in the states that do, the transgender lobby has hitched themselves to the coattails of the LGB to be included in these laws, which really are meant to keep parents from sending kids to religious anti-gay camps so kids can have the gay prayed away or beaten out of them.

For kids who say they wish they had been born the opposite sex, anti-conversion laws are dangerous because a therapist who simply wants to find out what is going on inside a kid's head now could be accused on conversion therapy if they don't affirm that the kid is trans. There are lots of reasons a kid might say they wish they were the opposite sex, for example girls who have been raped might want to become a boy, or boys who are teased for being effeminate or possibly gay might think life would be easier as a girl. But anti-conversion laws say that these kids can only be told they are trans if they say they wish to be the opposite sex.

The problem with calling everything "Transgender" is there's no way to distinguish between people with the mental condition of gender dysphoria, and autistic trenders and fetishists who just like to play dress up, get attention, and Jack off.

Gender dysphoria is an actual psychological condition that causes severe anguish and discomfort, very similar to something like anorexia or even some levels of schizophrenia. Suicide is very high for these types. However there's no reliable treatment for it, so many psychologists consider gender transition to be a lesser evil than just letting them suffer.
It's considered better to treat it early for best results... But, there's no reliable way to diagnose it at a young age. Still, by puberty it would be obvious to a competent psychologist.

A common way to know is if the child is engaging in risky behavior or self harm. A child wanting to wear the wrong clothing isn't enough.

After all, it's a mental disorder. It's not considered a disorder unless it's causing harm or hardship to the sufferers. A typical sufferer is actually suffering, and will often express desire for death, rather than continued existence in a body they find abhorrent, even if otherwise they seem normal.
They don't just whine about it on the Internet for attention.
