Can you describe what's happened to your neighborhood? Because I'd like to hear a first-hand perspective on what happens when a demographic change like that happens.
It was a high concentration of Jews, Arabs and poorer whites, very few blacks and latinos.
Now there's much, much more of the Arab/Muslim/African/Black Muslims. When you go to Target, Walmart, Lincolnwood Town Center, etc it's almost allllll Middle Eastern people. It's almost as if white people disappeared around Lincolnwood Town Center at times. It's hard to get waited on at times because they just don't speak English well. It's also kind of a snobby thing with them, it's like you don't matter anymore. It takes a lot of gesturing and pointing to buy anything locked in a case or a big tv.
They all berate staff of stores like Carson Pirie Scott/Kohls/Old Navy/Best buy mobile/etc demanding discounts and fighting over fake coupons and calling for managers and shit. I've switched to "peapod" mostly because its super aggravating to shop in public anymore. At times I think I'm living in"You don't mess with the ""Zohan"
The Jewel primarily has kosher food so you'll still see them(Jews) there. I dunno where else they go because I'm soundly ignored probably based on my looks.
On the Sabbath they'll all be outside pushing strollers under the eruvs like it's their job to be seen by neighbors in full Hebrew gear. Lots of chicks that kinda look like Shelley Duvall if you remember her. I don't know of any Orthodox Jew trannies so I'm guessing they're actually flat chested women.

I just moved here because the price was right and the crime was low. There is a high crime neighborhood to the north "Rogers Park" and the bullshit does spill over here now and then. I'm not sure where the fuck I'd go that was this safe, though.
It's like a stereotypical movie thing when you patronize their businesses. Think of an old movie where the 7-11 owner was an asshole yelling "You buy something now or get out!" . I only pay in cash after having a debit card number stolen in one of those places. That fucking cheese is good, though.
For some reason they're an incredible pain in the ass in traffic, the "Devon" corridor is hard to drive on because there's no regard for actual traffic laws. They also make a pain in the ass of themselves on public transit like the #93 and #155, #49b.. they make the routes chronically late with diva-type behavior. I have filmed it but am waiting to post it to avoid powerleveling myself by people making connections with the times/dates etc.
As bad as they are it still sucks less than living in a thug neighborhood, it's not gonna be violent, just aggravating as fuck.
