Feel like people are missing the forest for the trees wrt gzdoom. It's not just about the AI generated code (although that is fucking stupid and probably a violation of the GPL) but the fact that he generated some AI code, stuck it in without testing, and then force pushed it to the master branch. He was actively denying this while people were showing him the failing tests right in his fucking face.
As a person who is adjacent to this community and has contributed fixes to GZDoom before, Graf is one of the most unpleasant, insufferable cunts in the entire Doom sphere. His view of the GZDoom project is that it is entirely his and belongs to no one else. He will yell at people unprompted and has regularly threatened to break basic engine functionality when developers use the engine in a way he doesn't like. He regularly refuses feature requests and bug fixes and working with him on even minor fixes is impossible because he insists on being a smug cunt at all times. He will hold shitty little one-sided vendettas against other members of the community for years. To this day he is still sore about anotak over lilith.pk3.
He was tolerated because he was an excellent programmer who contributed a lot to GZDoom, but his ZDoom forums buddies are definitely sick of tardwrangling him and people have just been looking for an excuse to ice him out especially after he become more inactive. Yeah yeah blahblah trannies bad whatever but none of them are shitflingers in the way Graf is and I can actually work with them and talk to them. I am glad this naked egoist finally got the ego check he's needed for five years.

Small update on the Laz Rojas situation.
Someone on Doomworld noticed that Laz Rojas, despite being homeless and helpless, is still posting on his Facebook.

I wonder how much of what we enjoy in GZDoom today was actually Graf's work. He hadn't been active in a year, meanwhile GZDoom has become the best-performing port in comparison with its own forks.

It's been a while since I checked on this thread, so I thought I'd take a look at this video. It turns out that in the last few days, Ikol (aka TheTaintedSlav) showed up in the comments to sperg out over Marissa yet again, and the troons are currently roasting Ikol for getting banned from KF.
Apparently, Ikol/Oleg has been seething over me for literal months over at OnionFarms, and I had zero knowledge about this until a few minutes ago. Stay mad, I guess, lol.

A lot of new features in GZDoom are owed to him since he's the one who continued the project after ZDoom folded in 2016. IIRC he was responsible for ZScript and turning DECORATE into something actually usable, as well as the OpenGL renderer. He's a brilliant programmer when he isn't being a gigantic cunt which is why he was tolerated for so long.
Whenever I read anything on Doomworld it feels like everyone is operating on a veneer of fake politeness and sense of morality with vitrolic hatred bubbling just under the surface. I don't think anyone on DW actually likes anyone else and it takes literally nothing for people to start attacking each other. Granted Linguica was a SomethingAwful user so I'm not surprised the site developed that kind of culture.

I'll stop being a lazy nigger and upload some of my horror/spooky wad collection for Halloween. Consider this part 1 of however many:
The Theater is a shitty recreation of a creepypasta in the doom engine.
GZPT is a recreation of PT in the doom engine.
One Doomsday is a mappack with a story of a dude coming home from work but something is off.
Fears is an 8 level demo recreation of an Amiga old FPS game MIke Madee (Impie) made but he never finished it.
Spooktober 2018 and Soundless Mound are the only things Marisa the Molester ever made that are worth a fuck. Spooktober is a halloween community map pack with a hub world similar to Kiwi Dreams 2 and Soundless Mound was made for one of Joel's Vinesauce doom game jams, it's a 30-60 minute silent hill like FPS experience.
The Thing you can't defeat is a personal favorite but It's recommended you play it blind, I won't spoil anything.
Unloved by BlueEagle and Unhinged by Logic Obscure Productions are horror themed metriodvania lite wads that are somewhat hard, but they're also personal favorites.
Dead.Air and Dead.wire are 2 short surreal horror wads made by Xaser.

Played Unloved a few days ago, still an enjoyable experience for me. Try "Wayward Puritans" if you want a Cthulhu Mythos setting.
