Stylized animated series that are artistically inspired by Robert Valley my beloveds. Something about those angular designs and dark shadows scratches my brain.

From the creator's own mouth, the series, Cassandra Complex, is "an independent animated psychological horror action thriller miniseries consisting of nine 45-minute episodes. ...It's basically about the interactions between a psychopathic serial killer, a pair of detectives, an attorney that becomes a vigilante, and a survivor of the serial killer. They form alliances with each other, have conflicts with each other, and these interactions culminate in the uncovering of a sprawling conspiracy."

Hope he's able to get it funded, it'd be cool to see some actual western adult animation in this artstyle and genre.

Where did the stereotype of cartoon sitcom dads constantly shifting jobs come from because it seems like most of them have a consistent career that they rarely deviate from except for one off episodes.

Peter Griffin - Brewery employee

Stan Smith - CIA officer

Bob Belcher - Restaurant owner/cook

Hank Hill - Propane technician

How come Robert Valley draws better character designs than 98% of the animation industry but all of his shows go down the shitter in one season?

Seriously, Motor City, Tron Uprising, Agent Elvis? Look amazing, went nowhere.
He even did the best Gorillaz videos, and some of the best Aeon Flux episodes.

All his stuff gets shit canned but Adi Shankar and the Brickleberry guys get to make turd after turd with Netflix money.

Peter worked at the toy factory for the first two seasons, but a few episodes into season three he invited Mr. Weed (his boss) over for dinner and accidentally killed him. For the rest of that episode he was a knight at the ren faire, then the next episode has him become a fisherman. He stays a fisherman until halfway through season 4 when the fishing is bad and he and the guys get stranded at sea. When they come back and aren't dead, that's when Peter gets his job at the brewery (which is no longer a Willy Wonka brewery like it had been before.)

I'm betting it's the Simpsons' fault, the "Homer does X wacky thing" episodes are so plentiful you could probably fill a whole box set with only those episodes. Normal shmoes who work at nuclear power plants don't have nearly enough days off to go to space, climb a mountain, become a Beatle, etc.

Although this wasn't a sitcom, Daria's Jake Morgendorffer also had one steady of job as being a marketing consultant. And although this doesn't count since they're not adults, Beavis and Butt-Head someone still held on to their jobs at Burger World.

In regards to the shifting jobs trend, the earliest one I remember of is the running gag of 6Teen's Jonesy Garcia getting fired from almost every job that he has at the mall in every episode of the show. Granted, this is difference since he's a teenager and not an adult, and you'd have to be either stupid as fuck or desperate as fuck to hire someone that has THAT huge of a record of firings.
 
I saw this pop up on my YouTube, it's a trailer for a new kids show that's like a furry version of the Wild Thornberries. It looks like a cute little show that's ACTUALLY good for kids!
(also, anyone know why YouTube videos never want to link right anymore?)

Looks really really cute and I like the style. Although I am wary about the company releasing it.

"Angel" they seem to only stream animated shows no one picks up and lots and lots of Christian media, as well as stuff like the Sound of Freedom. Whether or not you're okay with that is up to you but to me it's shady letting these guys with a very apparent agenda teach kids about nature. They're using very very dodgy motivational language on their website too.

They host plenty of benign stuff as well, but still I don't fully trust these guys.

I assume Angel Studios is aware of this attitude and adjusts accordingly so as not to alienate Christian viewers. They had hand in producing Sound of Freedom and the early seasons of The Chosen. I don't think they have a hidden agenda.

It's so unfamiliar these days for someone (or an org in this case) to actually regulate their offputting worldviews to appeal to an audience. I'm almost unsure how to feel about it. Relieved? On edge? Who knows....

Surprising, right? Take a look at Quokka's production team. The company might have been founded by Mormons in Utah but they hire people from all walks of life.

The animators here have everything in their portfolios, from Blues Clues to Archer. A few even worked on Q-Force!

Their flagship show is Tuttle twins and I gotta say it's probably the best out of all the so called. "Conservative toons" that have popped up in recent years.

It's not fly by night "satire" of woke talking points like new norm, it's not trying to be "edgy" adult animation but can't because deep down Conservatives still can't or won't make actually edgy jokes because it goes against their demand for sanitized media.


Tuttle twins just likes to do it's own thing and I can respect it for that. Hell even animation cow Saberspark had to give them some praise in his infamous "anti woke toons" video that got him backstabbed by his fanbase cause he had the audacity to go after freedom toons.

They did a crossover with Tuttle twins and satireied Alex Jones in it. Just goes to show the right isn't all unified in a single cause....or maybe that it can laugh at itself.

That reminds me, I’ve been meaning to watch a couple of Scooby Doo movies again. Specifically Zombie Island and The Witch’s Ghost. I remember liking the Loch Ness Monster one a lot as a kid too. Anyone got some other recommendations (besides Cyber Chase, I’ve already seen it a million times)?

Scooby Doo and the Alien Invaders is a must see. Scooby and the Legend of the Vampire is also a decent watch.
