Fears is an 8 level demo recreation of an Amiga old FPS game MIke Madee (Impie) made but he never finished it.

Spooktober 2018 and Soundless Mound are the only things Marisa the Molester ever made that are worth a fuck. Spooktober is a halloween community map pack with a hub world similar to Kiwi Dreams 2 and Soundless Mound was made for one of Joel's Vinesauce doom game jams, it's a 30-60 minute silent hill like FPS experience.

The Thing you can't defeat is a personal favorite but It's recommended you play it blind, I won't spoil anything.

Unloved by BlueEagle and Unhinged by Logic Obscure Productions are horror themed metriodvania lite wads that are somewhat hard, but they're also personal favorites.

Dead.Air and Dead.wire are 2 short surreal horror wads made by Xaser.

Part 2: Mike MacDee and Doomer Boards-ish Edition

I'd like to shine the spotlight on people who have been outcast by the boarder doom community:

Mike Macdee is a bit of anti-feminist boomer-con sperg but he means well and makes good shit. He was banned by the boarder community for making a mod named "Straydog" based on the 2020 riots where you drive in a tank and blow up rioters. Let's check on him.

Strange Aeons​

This is a 5 episode wad Lovecraftian TC meagwad where you play as a father traveling through dream/in-between worlds in an effort to find your dead son. pretty good.

The Cronus Camp for Wayward Boys​

A buggy as shit 15 level stealth TC where you navigate through a camp full of alien worshipping feminists. (Yes, really.) Only made it halfway through it's alright.

Ghoul School 3D​

an interactive spooky wad for Heretic. Haven't played.

SPLATTERHOUSE 3D​

A first person beat em up TC based on splatterhouse 3d. Looks pretty cool.

You play as Seagal and must save the world. It's more of a jokewad than a horror wad but it contains Jason Vorhees. This apparently caused some shit with the boarder community leading to future DBP being banned from Doomworld and the like.

A mappack with an unsettling atmosphere and HR Giger inspired texturework. Pretty good.

Alone:

Alone - DBP17

Same as Xenomorph Base. Also very good.

Cold as Hell Special Edition is an updated version of a 2004 Zdoom wad made compatible for GZDoom 1.1.06 in 2008

It's a TC survival horror like wad where you play as a soldier entering a radio silent miltary in Greenland to figure out what's going on. This is the best the old school Zdoom forums has to offer, it even has Wildweasel voicing a character. This wad is the magnus opus of Jon Washburn, now a tranny named Jonaya Riley. He made this amazing wad then never released a wad ever again.

Now on more Doomworld-centric news, there's currently yet another Nightdive-related spergout going on, this time it's the re-re-release of Blood, called Refreshed Supply, which they did instead of patching their existing Fresh Supply release, under the excuse of a console release, owners of Fresh Supply only get a discount for Refreshed Supply as compensation, and as always, the Nightdive employees at Doomworld got very defensive, with their resident fanboys running defense for them, their excuse is that Atari forced them to sell it for 30 dollars, but let's not forget that Atari and Nightdive may as well be the same entity at this point, since the former bought the latter a couple of years ago, and Nightdive has been the most successful studio they own among the piles of rotting garbage that Atari currently owns.

The actual Blood fanbase doesn't seem very happy about this release, and they seem keem to sticking to using ports like nBlood or the NotBlood fork.

I like how he left out the part/knowledge where as Graf slowly stopped contributing, the performance of GZDoom got shitter, he's doing this deliberately.

Skulltag used to be the multiplayer port of choice if you wanted to make a multiplayer mod but wanted to use more recent (at the time) ZDoom features, since both ZDaemon and Odamex were based on ancient versions of ZDoom by comparison, but eventually it had a situation rather similar to what happened to GZDoom, the main developer, Carnevil, sperged out hard, and the rest of the dev team (which included some troons and soon-to-be troons) made their own port based on Skulltag's codebase, Zandronum, while Skulltag itself got abandoned because Carnevil wanted to get into proper game development and ended up making the Wrack games, Zandronum is still being developed, but it hasn't been kept up-to-date with the latest GZDoom codebase, so it lacks ZScript and all the new renderer features.

IP issues & support. Could I, on a technical level, package and sell Blood with a GPL-licensed, fan-made source port through Xbox Live and Steam? Sure. Do I want to bother with the legal issues? No.
