Houses in poor condition sometimes are sold at a much lower rate because of how much work needs to be done on it. Would you pay $80k for that shitbox knowing the damages it has?

There was a house a few streets over from where I once lived that was overgrown and in a terrible state, and it sold for half of what the fair market value of the rest of the street when the owner died or went to a home. Guy cleaned it up in force, renovated, and sold for 3x what he bought it for half a year later.
