Looking back on it, there are quite a few tracks that I remember that I used to listen to over and over. Nowadays however, I can't stand to listen to most of them due to some minor part of the song annoying my spergloaded brain. Anybody else have this happen to them?

Few examples:

I love Dido, and this is probably her signature hit. I think it would be much more relaxing if it wasn't for that "woo" sound you hear over and over in the background. It's in a lot of other songs too, but imo it ruins the mood for me.

Love Sparks' vocals, hate that annoying "hey" in the background. It's even worse than the first example because it's more noticeable.

I grew out of rap and hip hop altogether, but this song I remember quite clearly being annoyed by because of that fucking sound being in the background for the entire song.

Anybody else feel like this with certain songs?

The background noise is Wyclef ruining everything with his hip hop shit. It's a beautiful song otherwise, I just wish Wyclef would let Lauren sing and shut the fuck up.

Oh, and this is just personal :autism: but I hate songs with children singing or humming in the background, for instance "Another brick in the wall"

Any Sugarcubes song where Bjork is singing and that Einar motherfucker is making retarded noises in the background. Her career really took off when she went solo and dumped that talentless monkey.

Any rap song that includes emergency vehicle sirens. We get it, you're from the streets, cops don't like you.

Some rap artists intentionally have the sirens fading in and out which is insanely annoying if you're listening to it in the car.

instead of being fucking component this Stromboli motherfucker beatboxes to get a pixel-y effect instead of just putting a audio effect onto it in Pro Tools or FL Studio like a fucking competent person jesus christ you dont realize how much this pisses me off they have a fucking drum kit use it

I hadn't noticed any of this background noise until you spergs pointed it out (:_(.
On that note, rappers announcing themselves at the beginning in their songs bugs me. Back when rap was more underground it was understandable, because these guys didn't have a penny to their name and weren't known outside of those who actively sought them out. But the guys doing it these days are rich and famous enough to buy entire city blocks and slap their dick pics on billboards, they're not unknowns hustling on the street for bus fare.

The weird non-beatbox mouth noises and chipmunk voices in hip-hop songs annoy me. I don't particularly like enough songs in the genre to have a say, but the ones with the aforementioned sounds annoy me so much.

Also skipping notes makes me think there's a glitch in the audio file or my mp3 player is about to die on me. Not as annoying but still frustrating sometimes.

The sound of bed springs squeaking to imply lots of sex.
Prime example:
But honestly, that song is shit regardless of sound effects and I actually think the springs make it funny in a 'so bad it''s good' kinda way.

I heard the springs sound in another song recently and that was just flat out dumb.

Born to be Wild was ruined for me after I noticed this sound. (It should be timecoded.) It punctuates almost every line in the lyrics.

The annoying part of Thank You is that it's not Stan.

I was just thinking about how the BG noise in Stan annoys me. The pencil scratching as Stan writes is probably the worst offender. Like, I get WHY it's in the music video, but why is it in the single and instrumental versions?

The synths make a fart sound throughout this video. How the hell did they manage to come up with that idea? Did they just thought that putting a brown note in your songs are cool? The song is good but those shit/fart sounds after almost every verses ruin the whole thing.

The is the first post in this thread where I actually used to sort of like the song and now it's completely ruined. I'll just hear fucking farts from now on.

If it makes you feel better, I don't hear any farts.

Worst ever. Luckily Hey Ya lyric videos exist with the studio version.
The above video is like trying to write Shakespeare line by line in Twitch chat.
