I remember watching a video on him a while ago about how he was an atheist & converted afterwards. Still find it wild people give this guy any attention just cause he points the finger at muslims.

It's easier to comprehend when you take into consideration all the details revolving him.
He was born to a white trash drug addict family where his mother having her first child when she was still not of age, while he was himself born a clinical psychopath who can't feel human emotions. He went to prison for attempting to kill his own father when he was only 18 (in his own words he did it because he concluded that since religion is clearly false he can do whatever he wants as long as he gets away with it) and converted while imprisoned by a fellow convict and after his release turned his life around to be (somewhat) productive member of society, started and finished university, managed to reconcile with his father, got married with a number of kids and as far as I know never commited any crime afterwards.
Such story can be inspirational to a number of dysfunctional people living at the bottom of society who are struggling with meaning in life. Christianity is at its core a religion of love and forgiveness so this story doesn't clash with his faith; a number of saints like Saint Paul and Saint Augustine (among others) were similarly terrible people who after accepting God repented of their old sins.
It also helps that he was among the first people on youtube who made videos debunking Islam using their own scriptures; his muslim opponents also made it easy for him by virtue (or rather its lack) of being even worse than David Wood was in his youth; publicly calling for execution of apostates (like AP) should they visit muslim countries, defending Muhammad's 6 year old wife, mocking death of his sons to rare genetic disease, etc.
Now, I am not saying this to excuse him but to provide better insight into why people would like him. Personally I stopped watching him few years ago because quality of his videos seemed to be detoriating and also he was sniffing his own farts too much. AFAIK the "David Wood fucked a 13 year old while 18" story came to public light only like few days ago, I never heard of it until you posted that clip.
It's easier to forgive the failed murder attempt over having sex with a child, his father did survive after all, while the girl can't be unfucked. If he hasn't already, he should serve prison time for that. His attitude in the clip was very disturbing, even considering that he is a psychopath he sounds almost as if he is gloating.
Now going back to Trump, at least in Wood's case you could try to argue that he has repented and helped a lot of people with his activism; Trump the fat orange nigger is on the other hand the same egotistical millionaire as he always was, there is no change in him at all, he lies constantly to cover his bad actions in the past and perhaps worst of all (in utilitarian terms) HE DOES FUCK ALL.
I am not an American but nonetheless I consider myself more on the right than on the left and was favorably disposed to him in the past.
All he does is flaps his mouth non stop while flip floping his opinions at least twice a week. What about Lock Her Up? What about the Wall? What about being anti-war? What about opposing mass migration? The only good thing that I could think of is his government finally putting a curb to the whole woke nonsense, but even then it appears motivated more to spite the opposing side than because of true belief as they enact it very arbitrarily.
Because apparently the only thing conservative party conserve nowadays is Israel, cover for rich pedophiles and interests of the billionaires.
