I believe the UK is in the position it's in because a small collection of people obsessed with profit (and white guilt I'm sure) are eagerly turning urban centers into mud hovels, where immigrants contribute greatly to urban economy with taxpayer money, almost like an ouroboros. This is a small group though, at best 10% of the total population. The other 90% being ancient English stock that have existed in the countryside for millennia and don't concern themselves with London.
