AI Derangement Syndrome / Anti-AI artists / Pro-AI technocultists / AI "debate" communities - The Natural Retardation in the Artificial Intelligence communities

Also: Some related salt from Dana Terrace, the creator of the Disney channel cartoon: The Owl House.

Considering how incredibly stupid and degenerate everything has gotten, it's hard to really give a shit about any changes, good or bad, that AI could make to arts or media.
My main gripe with it at this point is not the quality or lack of quality of the art, but that it's easy to generate enormous amounts of it so jeets are shitting it all over things that end up in search engines. You can barely search for anything without getting a bunch of slop and now much of it is AI on top of that.

I really couldn't give less of a fuck for modern disney. They've fallen off since 2020 and since have made only like one good animated film that being Encanto (which I haven't even watched). Pixar has been carrying them and even they're faltering.
So what I'm saying is: let the people make their AI generated stuff for that is the least of disney's issues.
I keep forgetting that Zootopia 2 is coming out any day now and I almost want to bet money on it killing the franchise.

Yeah it sucks but there's nothing that can be done about that except destroying India itself.
Like AI generated imagery didn't have to be spammed! It didn't have to be this way, unfortunately there's way too many people on the internet and that allows more crap to be spewed on there.

I don't really use AI and I usually (inefficiently) draw irl and mspaint shitposts for drawings, It comes off as a very clunky tool that in the right hands can make something chuckleworthy or facilitate a lot of grunt work speedily yet in the wrong (brown) hands it's just used for gross spam and half baked shitposts. Personally, I absolutely hate the anti-ai people they come off as hysterical at the bare minimum and rabid pent up freaks who have nothing to vent their energy towards but through slacktivism and dopamine releasing death threat tweets(you know the only activities that require no developed skill or genuine commitments). A funny recent anecdote previously when I drew for the internet before the AI thing i did it purely for free yet after all this supposed apocalypse for (smut) artists, I very recently made some money off of some internet related commission work :story:

I can bet a hefty sum that none of these niggers genuinely care about copyright or ecology or whatever the fuck else but are instead scared shitless that AI will take their... """job""" of drawing retarded shit and will be forced to file a true and honest...

J-J-JOB APPLICATION!!!!

You're a literal faggot if you think this shit would convince AI users to change. Also congrats dumbfuck, you fed into the Meta AI.

I hope AI destroys most IG artists hopes and dreams.
"pick up a pencil and you too can draw bad, bland, Ai-looking capeshit" is such a funny common thing to read from mediocre artists. smoothdunk does it too, as if good AI art doesnt require drawing something as a base anyway and that coding is inherently more difficult than drawing

Update on the Mothdusky AI tracing situation:

Incredibly, they unlocked their account and pretend to have all this proof that ALL of their tracing happened before the AI happened, because they posted WIPs in various places online and then evil people took those WIPs and fed them into AI.

This is not true, because the spaceman art shows its generation data on Civitai and it was prompted via pure text alongside a bunch of other similar random generations. Even aside from that, the generator person would've had no reason to grab someone's WIP artwork to img2img since AI is fully capable of easily generating a boring image like that, it's completely unremarkable in pose and composition.

Thread where they defend themselves, and a bunch of morons eat it up:

Someone made a fucking evidence compilation google doc:

They claim they drew the art before the AI based on metadata, but it's a screenshot of a file completely under their control. Metadata is editable, and so are screenshots.
Remember this Mothdusky drama from a month ago? The story has continued, not with major developments but just some more goings-on, for those who were interested in it.

The false DMCA they filed on the guy who ran the original art through Grok to see it animated has failed, so the animation is now visible again, for those who really want to see a gay snow leopard flexing:

Mothdusky abandoned their original Twitter handle, which was a mistake, because it was then claimed by someone who is trolling and documenting the scam situation and apparently doxed Mothdusky with a name and face reveal, meet Ashlee Savage:

Meanwhile Mothdusky is trying to move on to a new name (Mossuki) to keep up the scam, which is ridiculously dumb to attempt so soon after all the drama, without even having new art to showcase. Their Twitter is already protected:

They changed their name on the Carrd site, which hilariously still contains their "requirement" against using their works in AI:

Do not use any of my art (commissioned or not) in AI training/generating.

Slop fanart accounts when replaced by AI

AI is and was the death knell of off those quirky kids at school who buried their heads in notepads or worse still tablets and claimed on Facebook they were an illustrator when you and everyone else knew they were fucking unemployed. funnily a lot of these people were also shitlibs and commies, the great irony being that Ai tools in their own world view are good because it reduces inequality in skill now everyone can generate imagery of the same low to mediocre quality just as marx intended. Political sperging aside :politisperg: I have recently found meshy ai. Its quite impressive, you can upload or generate a 2D image and then generate it into a 3d one. From there you can animate it or convert it into an STL for 3D printing. I don't have an moral stipulations with it, dont get me wrong there's a lot of talented 3D artists out there but its nice that I have a way to make niche bullshit that 3D artists would never bother with because of copywrite or lack of interest

I use meshy as a base for 3d portraits all the time. It's not very accurate if you want to do real people or want it to look exactly like a reference but it gives you a great starting off point so you're not starting with a blender cube every time

What I want to know is how long until AI is used to redistribute non-pozzed no diversity versions of movies, TV shows, and to make mods for games like Grounded commonwealth for Fallout 4 on a larger scale and easier scale.

I can definitively see the rise of AI artists in that aspect.

You're already seeing the rise of Adult Swim style Shorts with Kirk Droyd and George Droyd as well as Emily Youcus's Will Stancil Show.

It’s just the same halfwit arguments against cryptocurrencies rehashed to appeal to emotion. They’ll say it damages the environment, but are radio silent when it comes to google actually depleting underground aquifers or streaming platforms using servers that consume much more electricity. They just parrot the same shit over and over.
Along these lines: Remember the short-lived NFT fad? People hated NFTs with a passion the moment that term was coined, and I think it’s because we all know on a very basic level that the idea of somebody owning a .jpg is retarded.* Initially, people did point out that you can just right click and save or screenshot the image so you’ve basically “bought” nothing, but somehow the main argument against NFTs quickly shifted to “crypto is bad for the environment”.

I’ve always had a feeling that it’s because that initial line of reasoning very quickly leads into some dangerous territory in regards to ideas about having control over digital content, and many people who were on the anti-NFT side are otherwise massive control freaks. “Bad for the environment”, on the other hand, just keeps all those worms neatly in their little can.

* I will still always think it’s funny that NFTs were basically “adoptables” for tech bros.
