🦊 Furry Furry Convention Drama - Because you can't have a couple thousand dog fucking enthusiasts under the same roof without shit hitting the fan

I do wonder what the long-term implications of this are going to be for future furry conventions. From what I know about most conventions, the “security” at these things is a joke.
And all those fat retards do is hassle people over bullshit like masks.

I've been documenting convention drama in this thread for a couple of years now, and assuming this story is true and people really did storm the hotel, this might be the first large-scale attack I've seen at a furry convention, like ever. It's not unusual to hear about the occasional fight or assault at or near a con, but as far as I know, there's never been an incident on this scale.

I do wonder what the long-term implications of this are going to be for future furry conventions. From what I know about most conventions, the “security” at these things is a joke. Instead of hiring actual professionals, many con teams rely on random volunteers handling operations, while admins hide behind curtains and let people roam around with whatever authority a plastic STAFF badge gives them. The only thing most of them manage to protect attendees from is their parents’ shame and the judgment of their peers.

It reminds me of how a few years ago, Anthrocon opted not to use private security and instead cooperated with Pittsburgh police to have actual officers present. Naturally, they got flooded with pushback from people yelling “police bad!!!!!” but they moved forward anyway. And to their credit, the number of incidents didn’t drop to zero, but it’s clearly lower than when they relied on private security.
You've forgotten about an event from the past.

Congrats to Europe for the cultural enrichment. Hopefully none of you are fursuit goats, as the rapes would be much worse than usual.
I’d bet money it wasn’t based chuds, but Muslims.
Considering the country, whether it was really chuds or just uppity sandnegroes is a 50-50 shot
etc.
Slovenia is 83% Slovenian, and 0.5% "Muslim" according to the 2002 census, and they haven't experienced the same levels of immigration as northern and western Europe. 1.9m people in 2000, 2.1m in 2025. About 5.7% of the population now comes from Bosnia and Kosovo, 94,273 Bos and 29,242 Kos respectively, and not all are Muslim. Unlikely to be Muslims.

I'd personally argue these are incidents at very different scales. The 2014 MFF incident was a chemical-based attack, where someone (allegedly) released chemicals in a stairwell and fled the scene. That did force an evacuation of the hotel, but it did not involve the same extreme level of physical aggression as this new incident. At MFF, no one was storming the hotel, smashing doors in, or physically attacking attendees.

I wonder what the consequences of this one will be. Furry con aside, if you have a group of people get so far as to smash doors in and beat people bloody in their rooms, it is a PR nightmare for the Hotel just from the fact that they don't have adequate security to prevent this or inform police in time.

I genuinly believe anyone who wished harm, for no other good reason other then people who attended a furry convention in this thread, is a brownoid.

When considering whether it was our Muslim Brothers that performed this action, we must take the Ulema's views on hunting and whether in this case it was Halal or Haram. The prevailing view of the jurists that hunting an animal and slaughtering it without Halal slaughter such as with a firearm is permitted should the animal prove too difficult to catch through conventional means.

However, considering this specific case, the jurists also forbid direct contact with unclean animals and in this case, we can rule that this attack can be considered contact with unclean animals and as such is Haram.

Midwest FurFest put out this statement a few hours ago, which I’m 99% sure is meant as a response to the furries complaining about how they’d feel unsafe going to a furry event after the GoldenHorn attack. Never mind the fact that MFF is an American convention and GoldenHorn is a Slovenian convention on the other side of the planet, but whatever.

Given that MFF is one of the most-attended furry conventions in the world, you’d think they might announce something practical to put attendees at ease, like steps to ensure attendee safety or a plan to increase security, right? Lol, fuck you, of course not. They just said they’ll ban you if you wear anything that looks vaguely militaristic or tactical.

But the attacker mob looked more like the trantifa ACAB crowd than the tacticool crowd. How will they tell those apart?

Sucks though. The tacticool fursuiters were some part of the cooler ones you would find there.
